Ooc: Yes, I have permission from Jane and Alyssa to god-mode slightly, and this is going to be a closed thread unless i state otherwise. Thanks guys!
Ic: Raven had strode into the Entrance Hall of Hogwarts, looking around him in wonder. Alyssa and Jane were not too far behind, jogging in behind him as the door swung close, plunging them into darkness. A few seconds later, torches sprang to life, seemingly activated by them stepping inside. Hogwarts was far different then he had imagined: Of course, he had heard stories, but even having past wizarding experience never quite prepares you for new places.
The grandeur of the hall was far different than Beauxbatons or Durmstrang: Instead of showy sculptures or bleak ruggedness, Hogwarts seemed to have an ancient valor that intrigued Raven greatly. The grand precipices towered above him, forgotten stories of the construction of the castle. The ceilings also seemed extremely high, which led Raven to wonder how the school was built in the first place. He chuckled to himself, realizing that he must look like a complete idiot to Jane and Alyssa.
Turning back towards them, he grinned sheepishly and said, "Sorry. This school is just a lot different than the other ones that I've been to. It seems to just reek of history...." Striding over towards the walls, he leaned in closer as he observed the different patterns and designs etched into the Gray stone around him. He was quite surprised that he was this interested, but he could really care less at that point.
He wondered briefly what classes would be like here. After all, they would likely be far different than what he had been used to. Maybe the teaches would be snotty and high-class, or maybe they would be fun-loving and carefree. Whatever it was, Raven felt himself already hunkering down, getting ready to go back into studying mode. Of course, he would have some fun while he was at it.

Jayden had slept in, deciding that he had needed the extra rest. Lately, classes had completely drained him of energy, and he felt like he deserved a nap anyways. Finally getting up just before noon, he yawned and stretched, looking out the window beside his four-poster bed. The sun was right in the middle of the glowing horizon, and he knew instinctively that Jasmine would probably comment on it.
He got dressed, throwing on a pair of old jeans and the first t-shirt he could find, as well as grabbing his wand, before descending down the spiral stairs into the Common Room. He stayed in the Common Room for a few minutes, catching up with a few of his friends before nearly shouting the password because the guardian didn't hear him the second time. Muttering under his breath as he strode out, he began walking towards the Great Hall: He was quite hungry, and figured that he might as well grab some pancakes or something to fill him up.
Going down a few sets of stairs, he watched the portraits framing the stone walls beside him say and do various things: Jayden had always found the portraits to be very entertaining, and kind of served as a distraction as you made your way to wherever you were going. After all, everyone needed a good distraction nowadays: With the news of Jonnie dying, everyone seemed to be in a dismal mood.
Jayden tried not to think about it much, as Jonnie had been a good friend of his, and he was upset that everyone he got close to seemed to....die. Except for one person. But Jayden would get his revenge anyways. Or die trying. Snapping back to reality, he felt his hand gripping his wand very tightly, and released it, putting it back in his pocket and feeling his face flush red with shame. Chances were, he would never see Raven again. But if he did....? Jayden knew as well as anyone else that Raven was an exceptional dualer: Even though he refused to accept it, in the back of his mind he knew he would lose.
Finally descending the final stairway, he absent-mindedly began to hum as he dodged a suit of armor that had lunged at him, and pushed open the smaller wooden door that connected the second floor to the Entrance Hall. Noticing that Alyssa was just walking in to the hall, he smiled and then looked at whoever she was with. The other girl he didn't recognize. But who were they staring at?
Jayden's blood went ice cold. The shock of seeing his black hair, his green eyes......it hit him like a thunderbolt. He felt agony began to crawl up his throat, and his eyes began flashing from brown to a deep gray. Before he knew what was happening, he was wind sprinting towards Raven, who currently had his back turned. Whether or not the girls knew what was happening, surely they knew know, but it was too late. Time was his.
Jayden pressed his wand, like a gun, against the back of Raven's throat while he constricted Raven's body with his other hand. Holding him like a criminal would a hostage, he slowly turned around, facing the girls, and said, "Don't even try it. Just let me do my business. You don't have to get hurt if you just let this happen." Eyes nearly tearing with anger, he smacked Raven with his free hand and said, "Get. Out. NOW!!!!!" All the anger welling inside of him seemed to burst, and he shouted deliriously while he swung the boy around, feeling his heart pump against the meager frame of his body.
His mind whirling, he wondered if he could do it. He wondered if he could really end this boy right here, right now. He wanted to so badly, and he could feel his eyes nearly roll into the top of his head as he considered it. Raven, dead. The boy who had ruined everything, lying spread-eagled on the floor in front of him. He wanted it so badly. But he was going to give him a chance to plead, to beg, before. He wanted to hear him squeal. Finally deciding to speak again, he murmered, "This is for what you did to Joseph. You ruined my life, so I am going to ruin yours. If you even want a small chance of living, you would drop your wand, right here, right now."

((Lalala, don't argue with me on this crappy paragraph. xDxD))
Alyssa's black dress shoes clacked noisily as she ran into the Entrance Hall, following behind Raven and Jane. She was greeted by a rush of warm air as she entered the giant hall. Then sadness crept over her. She remembered the reason why she wanted to take a walk in the first place. First, work was stressing her out, and the news of Jonnie's death, just added to the burden. When was the last time she had seen him? At the lake? She couldn't really remember, or at least she didn't want to. She tried to focus at what was happening now, pushing those feelings away, as she looked up at Raven who was admiring the interior of the castle.
Alyssa smiled and replied to what he had said. "I did the exact thing, except I looked like a bloody dork.". She sighed and shook her head. She heard footsteps coming from the stairs and she quickly looked up. Recognizing that it was Jayden, she waved slightly, until she noticed that his expression had changed drastically. Her hand went down and she saw him sprinting towards Raven. Alyssa quickly gasped as Jayden pressed his wand against the back of Raven's neck, as if Raven were some sort of criminal caught by the police. She had no idea what was going on. She had never seen Jayden this angry before.
She reached to push down Jayden's wand, but immediately stopped when he had told Jane and her to leave him be or else they might get hurt. Alyssa took a few steps back, heeding his 'warning'. What was she doing? She couldn't just leave things like that. Alyssa rummaged through the pockets of her robe until she found her wand. So, she hadn't learned many spells, especially defensive ones, but she knew how to disarm and almost how to immobilize someone. She didn't want to take out her wand in case Jayden thought of it as a threat, so she hid it in her pocket, her hand ready to cast Immobulus or Expelliarmus, if she needed to.
Alyssa listened as Jayden spoke of someone by the name of Joseph and how Raven had ruined Jayden's life. She spoke quietly, not wanting to bring a lot of the attention to her, "What's going on? What did Raven do to you?" Alyssa asked, her worried eyes locking on to Jayden's.

He continued glancing around him, completely at ease, before someone quickly grabbed him from behind. Mind whirling, he felt the point of a wand against his throat and mentally sighed. Of course, he had been a bit scared at first, but it wasn't the first time that Raven had been threatened about his own life. What was ironic was the person that was doing it: Last time, it had been both he and Jayden who had been held "Hostage" Now, his mind went entirely into survival mode: He had to figure out how he could get out of this alive, and not have Jane or Alyssa hurt either.
He heard Jayden yelling at the two girls to just let him do his business, and while this made Raven happy that he wasn't dragging the girls into this, he also knew that Jayden was serious about this. If Raven made one wrong move, Jayden would either use the Cruciatus Curse or just kill him outright. He wished that he could see into Jayden's head to figure out which one it was going to be, but he didn't know. Perhaps Jayden just wanted answers for what happened on that fateful night.
He felt pain ricochet up his body while Jayden smacked him around. He zoned out for a few minutes while he was beaten again and again. His mind seemed to work in slow motion as he felt the raps against his body. He seemed so tired. After everything that had happened, after all the places he had traveled, was he really to die today? Like this? Beaten like a rag-doll from someone who had been his closest friend?
Suddenly, his misery turned to rage. He heard Jayden tell him to drop his wand. He said nothing, and waited for the coals of anger to sizzle before saying, "Listen to me, Jayden. You don't have to do this. I can explain what happened that night. You know as well as I do that we were both at fault. Joseph died because of Briggs and the others, not because of me. Control yourself." He spoke in a deep, vibrating voice, very calm for the situation he was in. Even though he was a bit panicked inside (and for good reason) he definitely did not want Jayden to know that.
He heard Alyssa ask what was going on, and he turned his head as much as he could without having Jayden blast his brains out, and said, "I'll explain afterwards. Just make sure that teachers or students don't come in here. This is between the two of us, and we'll figure it out." He gave her a comforting smile, and craned his eyes back as he looked at Jayden. Jayden was breathing hard, his pupils extremely dilated, which gave him the look of a crazy man. Raven was troubled by this: It was distressing to see him in such a state, especially over something like this.
He began to slowly, quietly, reach down the pocket of his robe, looking for his wand. He hoped dearly that Jayden would not notice this: It would be much easier to negotiate without a wand pressed against the side of his head. He knew that he had a fairly decent chance, as Jayden looked too angry to notice the little things happening around him. Raven prayed that this would be enough.

OOC: im back ;D sorry if this sucks.... Jane followed Raven into the Entrance Hall, her broom resting over her shoulder. She was eyeing Raven curiously, studying him. He still intrigued her and his intrrigue of the castle caused her to pay attention to him. She smiled as he compared Hogwarts to other schools. "It is one-of-a-kind." She then looked away from Raven as she saw someone descend the steps. It was that boy. She couldn't remember his name. Hayden. No that wasn't it. Oh well. He had laughed at her when she had fallen down the stairs. She did not know the boy but she still did not like him. She knew that when she met him she had met Alyssa, so Jane kept her mouth shut regarding her opinions of the boy.
She couldn't a frown from forming on her face however, and her eyes followed the boy as he charged Raven and took him hostage. Jane didn't know what was going on. 'Hayden' yelled at her and Alyssa to leave, but Jane stayed rooted on the spot, her eyes widened in fear. She knew that Alyssa knew the boy and apparently so did Raven, so she decided to not respond to 'Hayden' and let them handle the situation for the moment. She finally found out the boys name, Jayden, after Raven asked him to be reasonable and listen to an explanation about some night. So Raven was turning out to be as mysterious as she guessed.
Jane listened to the Raven repeat what Jayden had requested (the girls departure) and she knew she could not leave him here. Jayden was being irrational. He was thinking with his emotions and people do stupid things in the heat of the moment. And this moment looked like one of those to Jane. She saw Raven go to reach for his wand, but she knew that Jayden would see and he already had his wand on Raven's neck. She had to react. But what could she do. Think. Think. Think. Spells. She had a wand. She slipped her hand that wasn't clenched around her broomstick into her pocked and pulled out her wand. She was nervous, but chose to ignore it and yelled "EXPELLIARMUS!"

Ooc: Yay Sammie! You know I luff you Jayden numbly heard the people around him talking, their voices swirling like an eternal sandstorm that only he was afflicted with. His eyes strained to see what was actually happening, but he was beginning to lose his grip on reality. His hands shook with a mixture of confusion and stark fear. He pressed his wand even moreso against the trunk of Raven's neck, and swung Raven to the side so that Raven was between him and the two girls standing in the doorway. He was not going to lose this one. Not now, not ever.
He grinned with determination as he locked eyes with the girl that seemed more dangerous of the two. He vaguely recognized her as Jane, the girl from his first day here. She no longer mattered now. He was in control, and he wanted them to know it. He spoke quietly: "Put your wands away. Before things get ugly. One of you will die tonight." He smoothed back his hair with the other hand, eyes hungrily sweeping between the two of them, and back to his prey, who had his eyes shut and breathing hard. He leered, and twisted Raven's hair slightly in his fist. He wanted Raven to feel the arc of pain, the release of the shock afterwards. He hungered for the reaction.
He heard Raven speak, and Jayden's eyes narrowed. He was absolutely sure he knew what the boy was going to say, but was slightly surprised when Raven's voice was so calm, so....like his own. It bothered him that he was so relaxed in a situation like this. Someone was going to have to suffer the consequences, and it didn't occur to Jayden that it might be him.
When Raven said that it wasn't his own fault that their father had died, Jayden laughed melodically and cried, "My father, being the great man he was, let you into our home and took you in as his own son when we found you. All that's happened since you come is that you've brought trouble and Death Eaters! I don't need to hear your excuses. Your story ends tonight!"
As Jayden prepared to utter the Killing Curse, he made one fatal mistake. He let down his guard while he answered his prisoner. He allowed the girls to have one clear shot at him, a few seconds where the side of his body was exposed. It was the mistake that would cost him the victory he had so been longing for.
Jayden squealed in surprised and hatred as he spun towards Jane, flicking his wand like a dagger and casting the Shield Charm on himself just as the flying missile that was the Expelliarmus spell hit him. He flew to the side, one hand still clasping onto the sleeve of the captured. He teetered for a moment before regaining his balance, and stood up with a triumphant gasp.
Alas, his wand was on the floor, forgotten. Jayden's eyes flashed with true fear as he scrambled towards it, focus entirely on the one object that was his salvation. In his mind, Raven was a monster that would kill him if he had the chance. He had to get it back. It was his right. He had to survive!
