Time: Night
Day: A week after Jonnie's death
Weather: Cold and Snowy
Rory breathed a sigh of relief as she was finally able to escape from Hogwarts. Everything since Jonnie's death had just been a big blur for her. She couldn't feel anything. Since she found out, she hadn't even cried once. While walking past everyone in the halls, seeing some crying and others comforting, but she would just keep on walking. Part of her didn't believe that Jonnie was dead. Everytime someone would touch her, she would look up and expect it to be him, but would then realize that it would never be him. She was alone and there was no changing that.
She kept walking, hearing the crunching of the leaves slightly sprinkled with snow. As she continued with her quick pace, she began to slow down. She looked up at the sky just in time for a snowflake to land on her forehead. Then reaching up her hand to wipe the snowflake off, she did what she hadn't done in what felt like months. She smiled. It wasn't an enormous grin or anything, but a small soft smile. Then in an instant, it seemed, the sky began pouring out what seemed like rain but was actually beautiful snow.
Rory began walking again as she felt the snow falling on her. After a while of walking, she finally found her favorite tree. It was dead and the roots lifted up, forming an awesome place to sit. As she found her way to the tree, she wiped off the snow and sat down. As she looked around at the beautiful scenery, she was forced into a memory. This was the exact day and place where she was sitting in her third year when Jonnie and some of his friends found her sitting here. She was reading, when Jonnie came up and said hi. Rory had said hi back, when two of Jonnie's friends came up and started calling her names and making fun of Jonnie for talking to her. Then instead of Jonnie sticking up for her, he joined in and threw a snowball at her, then walked off laughing. As they had walked off, she remembered him turning around, looking at her with sorrow in his eyes. That was when she flipped him off.
She then gasped as she realized that while she was replaying that memory, she had been sobbing. As she reached up to wipe off her eyes, more tears started coming out as her whole body seemed to weep. She then gathered all the strength that she had in her and let out a really long and loud scream. It was all she could do. Just scream and cry. She had been holding it in and she knew she had to let it out. She had lost the one that she loved. Pain hit her like it never had before. All the memories of them two together flooded back to her.
Finally, after what seemed like hours, she stopped screaming and she was returned to the present. She gave a violent shiver and leaned her head against the base of the tree, small tears still streaming down her cheeks. As she kept on crying, another thing happened that hadn't happened in a while. She drifted off to sleep. But no soothing dreams would happen this night.. only dreams filled with terror were to come to her.
