The burning orb of fire seemed closer than ever. The birds singing in the sky and the fish happily jumping from the water confirmed the definition of a "perfect day." This made a small, brunette girl giggle near the side of the lake, her bare feet slightly touching the edge of the water, making small, sporadic ripples gracefully drift away from Jasmine. The Gryffindor couldn't remember the last time Hogwarts had seen a day such as this; she was taking full advantage of it.
Jasmine had gotten up that morning to a window full of sunlight and a dormitory room full of happy students. She wasn't the only one to be outside that day, but she was one of the few that sat alone. Jasmine's dark hair shone beautifully in the sunlight, its different colors complimenting her tanned summer skin, her small hands working at something in her lap. She grinned as she glanced down at her project: a winter scarf. While Jas had no talent for knitting, unfortunately, she loved to do it nonetheless. There was something freeing about being able to make things on your own, to accomplishing your own tasks.
"Halfway done," she sighed to herself. Jasmine refused to believe anyone who told her how terrible her creations were; if she had made them, then they were gorgeous, of course. The small girl rolled up her sleeves as the sun beat down on her sweater-covered shoulders. Once again she dipped her feet calmly into the lake, quietly praying the grindylows would keep to themselves on this perfect day.

Ooc: Nice post ^^ hehe....you can work on the one with twilight now
Ic: Jayden had woken up and thrown open the curtains in the morning, and then was suddenly wide-eyed awake when he saw the brilliance of the sun enveloping the entire castle. Surprised that the weather was that nice, he had quickly showered, and then changed into a t-shirt and some shorts. He loved weekends at Hogwarts, they were always so relaxing to him.
He knew for sure that he wouldn't be staying inside today, so he ran to the Entrance Hall before going outside into the bright light. Squinting slightly at the change from the dark, dank castle, he started off towards the fields. Suddenly he realized that he had no idea where he was going, and wondered where he should go. At first, he thought of maybe going back and grabbing his broom to play some Quidditch, but he was too lazy to go back to the dormitories.
Shading his eyes from the harmful sun, he looked around him as he tried to think of somewhere to go. Then, he saw someone on the other side of the lake, so he decided that he would go and see who it was. A few minutes later, he had finally made it to the other side of the lake, and saw a girl with long black hair dipping her feet into the water. At this distance, it was hard to judge who the person was, but he didn't really care anyways. It was someone to talk to, after all.
Finally closing the distance, he realized that the girl was Jasmine, who he had met before. Smiling as he sat down beside her, he stretched and then took off his sandals, before joining her in dipping his feet into the lake. Smiling at her, he cheerily said, "Hello! I can't believe it's such an amazing day out today. It's been pretty rainy lately. Having this good of weather in November is just....amazing, really."

Jasmine worked on her messy project quietly, her voice singing a soft tune and her fingers working calmly at the yarn as Jayden appeared beside her. She wasn't startled, seeing how she was almost expecting someone to join her by the water's edge on this wonderful November day, but instead Jas simply smiled as the taller boy sat down beside her. She nodded her head as he commented on the weather, causing her to glance back into clear blue sky.
"It is amazing isn't it?" Jasmine blew out a breath and turned to look at Jayden. "I think it's a sign." She grinned deviously and looked around the two, then back down at her knitting. It really was quite hideous, but she wouldn't admit it. Its golden and dark red colors, for Gryffindor, were almost clashing in the way she had put the scarf together. The little girl sighed at it and shook her head, wondering if she would ever get better at her hobby. She had been at it for over a year now, anyway.
Jasmine laughed at herself, holding up the hideous thing. "Could this be considered amazing as well, do you think?" she questioned Jayden, rolling her eyes, showing the scarf that seemed out of place in the warm weather comforting the two students.

Jayden watched as Jasmine knitted a scarf together, something that he had once done. He had knitted a few scarfs and then given them to the homeless. Father had told him that it was to teach him humility, that he had a good life compared to other people. Jayden valued the lesson greatly, and came to appreaciate it even more after his father had passed on. Feeling a tear starting to form, he hastily wiped his eye as he watched her knit.
Glancing away momentarily, he watched the birds in the sky, and then looked back at the school as students milled about, chatting, laughing, some doing homework. All of them were enjoying the amazing day by being outside, and he doubted that anyone would be inside. Maybe the nerd who stayed in the library all day, but that was about it. Even most of the teachers were enjoying the amazing weather.
Jayden laughed as he heard Jasmine tell him that the weather was a sign. His green eyes took in the sight of the sun reflecting off of her dark hair, and noticed that she was quite attractive. Feeling slightly abashed, he noticed her handiwork for the first time. Stifling a laugh, his eyes roved down the length of the partially-made scarf, noticing a few errors here and there. It wasn't all as bad as his first one, though. He then asked her, "Is that the first scarf you've made? I used to make them for the homeless."
When she asked him if it was amazing as the weather, he decided to be honest and say, "I dont know if it's amazing, but its not all that bad. It could definitally be worse. I think mine were worse, that's for sure." Smiling pleasantly as her, he let his mind wander as he sat and simply enjoyed the company. Jayden found that he seemed to always be on the move, so he tried to relax sometimes. Now was the perfect time for that.

Jasmine laughed wholeheartedly, her head falling back for the whole effect, her warmly colored wavy brown hair cascading over her shoulders. This wasn't the sort of reaction that she usually got when asking for opinions on her creations. Most of the time, the person would simply tell her to give it up. Jayden was being honest in a nice way, however, and Jas appreciated it. She smiled at him. Her face was happy, her cheeks flushed from the warm weather around them.
"Wait, you knit?" she exclaimed suddenly, shifting herself around quickly so that she splashed water on the two. Ignoring the moisture, she sat on her knees facing him. Jasmine giggled, tilting her head at Jayden. "Feminine." The small Gryffindor pulled her legs from under her and sat facing away from the glistening lake.
"But I'm sorry to tell you that this is definitely not my first scarf. In fact, it's probably somewhere near my... hundredth?" Jasmine shook her head and laughed at her uncoordinated hands. "But I love it, it makes for great fun when I send a seemingly dilapidated old scarf for a Christmas present, ya know? The cousins love it."
Jas looked down at her capri pants and noticed that they were sprinkled with water from her quick movements; that was something she always had seemed to be going against her. If she moved too quickly, something bad was bound to happen. Or so her mother said, at least.

Ooc: If you dont wanna make the move, I can in my next post He watched Jasmine laughing at his honesty, and simply could not help smiling. There was something about her that just made things a lot better than they should be. Not that it was a bad thing, of course. An idea striking him, he turned away from the lake as well, and asked her, "Do you have another set of knitting materials? Maybe we could start a knitting club. Get club jackets and everything. We could knit together every once in a while." Jayden began laughing when he remembered how corny and ludicrous a knitting club would sound, but at this point, he really could care less.
When Jasmine suddenly realized that he knitted as well, he pretended to sigh, and then laughed and said, "Yeah, I do. But it's not all that feminine. I have other guy friends that knit too, I swear!" Jayden did indeed have friends that would knit with him, but whether they did it to make fun of him, or because they were actual friends, he really didn't know.
Jayden was slightly surprised to hear that Jasmine had been making scarves for such a long time, and leaned over and told her, "Well, I guess your a knitting veteran then. I'm pretty much a newbie myself. I've only knitted three or four, but I kind of miss it. Maybe you can encourage me to get back into the sport." Eyes gleaming with mischief, he sat back to see what she would say to that. Who knows, Jayden thought, maybe something interest would happen. The butterflies in his stomach seemed to start again as he thought about it.

Jasmine's breath caught slightly in her throat as Jayden shifted to sit nearer to her. His face was mere inches from hers; she could feel his warm breath tickling her skin. A few seconds passed in silence before Jas was able to regain full consciousness. She shook her head softly, her dark brown hair falling over her shoulders, a few strands blowing into Jayden's shoulder, so close to her.
The small girl giggled to distract herself and sat up straighter on the dry ground. "Jayden, what do I look like to you? I mean, look at this!" Jasmine held up the hideous half-knit scarf, showing him all the imperfections. "Don't expect me to have many more materials than I've got here, alright?" A small grin appeared on her face, however serious she was attempting to make her teasing tone.
"Though, I think you might be on to something!" Jas' pretty face lit up with excitement and joy at the thought of her Ravenclaw friend's brilliant idea. "A knitting club... genius. Our jackets could be pink!" she joked.
For some reason, being with Jayden made her feel like herself. Jasmine thought back to the many people she'd met who'd caused the usually brave girl to fall back into a routine of being a perfect, polite girl. She hated that girl. This girl, however--the one that was free and fun and happy--was the one that Jasmine truly adored. She didn't want this girl to leave, and she could think of only one way for that to happen, and so she scooted closer to Jayden, their sunlit faces only inches apart.
"And I'm sure I could find a way to inspire you," she grinned deviously, her smirk half serious.

Jayden's mind began swimming. He couldn't breathe. The mix of Jasmine's sweet aroma and his own nervousness was working like a firework in his brain, slowing down time near to a standstill. He couldn't stop looking at her, at her flawless features, at her long, beautiful brown hair. Something is wrong here.... Jayden thought, becoming panicked. I've fallen in love with a girl on my second day here! He tried to shake the thought from his mind, but it stuck there like an annoying burr, and try as he might, it wouldn't be dislodged.
He felt her hair be blown from the wind, and land on his shoulder. He gave a small start, the butterflies in his stomach swarming like the plague. He knew that he would have to do something: Either run away from the situation, or meet it head on. His gut instinct told him to run away, to run as fast as he could, but he was stuck. He didn't want to. He wanted to be here, with this woman, for as long as he could. Staying safe no longer mattered to Jayden.
He leaned in even closer, if that was possible. Sweat trickled down his face as he considered what was going to happen next. It was as if he knew exactly what was going to happen, but it was just a matter of waiting for it to arrive. Glancing down momentarily, he realized that there was literally no space between them, and from the look in her eyes, she didn't seem to mind.
He barely heard what she said, he only payed attention long enough to get the gist of what she was saying. He felt his arm shaking as he rested it on his lap. When she said that the jackets would be pink, he told her quietly, "I really wouldn't mind. They say that real men aren't afraid to wear pink." He inwardly slapped himself for making such a lame comment, but Jasmine's presence was changing him from the normal Jayden to a quiet, shy, unsure person he hardly recognized. Maybe it was just the proximity. Either way, Jayden was both the most nervous he had ever been, and the most excited. It wasn't every day you got to be with someone as special as Jasmine.
Jayden, of course, had had a few girlfriends before. But even at the time, he had known that it probably wouldn't work out in the end. Especially since he moved around so much. But things were different, were special, now. He no longer had to move at his Fathers will, and she seemed like a genuine soul mate. As long as she felt the same way back, he felt like he had a fairly good chance.
Jayden had finally made up his mind. He was going to do it. He felt that he should say something else to her before, however, as what seemed like hours had dragged on as he was immersed in his thoughts. His hair brushed up against hers as he murmured, "I don't think I need any inspiration. I get inspiration from just being around you." He felt his face completely flush at this point, as he hadn't planned to say that. It had just come out, as if it was meant for him to say it.
Jayden didn't particularly believe in destiny, but sometimes, things just fell into place too smoothly to be coincidence. He felt like this was one of those times. His thoughts briefly turned to his father, and he wondered what he would have said if he saw Jayden in the situation. He would probably laugh and clap him on the shoulder, he was always that type of man. Jayden felt like he owed it to Mr. Hawls to at least make him proud.
He tilted his head sideways as he looked Jasmine full on in the face, and closed his eyes in rapture as his lips covered hers momentarily. For what felt like minutes, he kissed her, until he let go and then backed a few inches away immediately. The world came rushing back to him, and he almost staggered over sideways. The reality of what he had just done hit him straight in the chest, and he had no idea what to say. He didn't even know if he should apologize or not.
All he could do is wait for her response.
Ooc: There it is! The First Kiss!

For the first time in a long time, Jasmine felt as though she was dreaming. She gathered all the strength she had left in her suddenly tired body and smiled, the sunlight above her casting a shadow over her beautifully happy face.
"Jay," she whispered. It seemed even all Jas' strength couldn't help her form words. The feeling of Jayden's lips upon hers still lingered throughout her body. The unexpected shocks that had spread to her fingertips had done their job. They were addicting, and she wanted more. Her eyes flickered closed for a moment as she reveled in the feeling; Jasmine was almost saturated in his scent, but that wasn't enough. She reached out, still unseeing, and found his soft lips with her small hands.
The wonderful smile on the girl's face never faltered, though it was tainted with different emotions as she moved her warm fingers very lightly against Jayden's welcoming skin. Jasmine couldn't take it any longer. Her wide eyes opened; they were darker than usual, filled with wonder and longing, her dark eyelashes fluttering once or twice before her eyelids opened to stay.
The Gryffindor wondered how it was that all the other boys she'd been with had yet to make her feel the way she felt with Jayden. She hadn't known him more than a week, but somehow she was more comfortable with him than she'd been with anyone else, including the one person she'd almost gotten engaged to. Jas remembered back to that man; he seemed so distant to her now, and she knew he would only drift farther away as time wore on.
The small brunette sighed, finally allowing her smile to fade from her beautiful face. Jasmine's thumb softly stroked the outside of Jayden's deep brown eyes as she looked into them. She wished with every fiber of being that she could know what he was thinking, but she could only guess. Jas had never been good at reading others' hidden feelings, nor the feelings they showed on their sleeves, just as she did. She would try her best, however, and that was all she could do.
"Would that be part of the knitting club too?" Jasmine said quietly, her voice low and hoarse. She didn't bother to clear her throat when she moved closer to him, her soft, sun kissed cheek brushing against his slightly cooler one, her full lips ending at Jayden's ear. His brown hair tickled her skin in the breeze as she whispered.
"Because if so, this club will be a hit." Jas grinned teasingly. The side of her face moved against his in her show of happiness; the small girl hoped he wouldn't take back what he had so generously provided her: a warmth inside and out, enveloping her in in the few seconds his lips had touched hers. Jasmine had only hoped for one thing when she'd woken up, and that perfect day seemed to be unfolding--and steadily--as she breathed short, sweet breaths into Jayden's ear.

Jayden forgot to think, to breath, for a few seconds as Jasmine murmured his name. It seemed to him as the singularly most pleasant moment in his life, and he was so overjoyed that she had enjoyed it as well that he almost shouted out loud. He simply watched as she reached out and cupped his face in her small, delicate hands. He smiled at her, reveling in her presence. He gave her another kiss, on the lips again, and moaned quietly as they embraced.
Jayden slowly reached for her hand, and held it against his cheek as he slipped his other hand around her waist, holding her tightly. He let her hands stroke his face as he nuzzled her close, wondering what the other students were thinking as the two cuddled together. It still didn't seem natural, seem right, but he supposed that he would have to get used to the wondrous feeling.
He heard Jasmine ask if this was part of the knitting club as well, and he allowed himself to laugh heartily as he responded, "I don't think I would want others doing this. I think this part of the club should only be for you.....and me. After all, we are the founders of the club." He gave her a special smile, a smile that belonged only to her, as he waited for her response.
He shuddered slightly in amazement as she kissed his ear, feeling the sensation spread all the way down into his body, and then even down into his toes. He vaguely remembered hearing somewhere that the ear was the most intimate part of the body, or something like that. It really didn't matter to him at that point, however. He had more important things to think about. Like the beautiful girl sitting in front of him.
He leaned his head against hers as she breathed into his ears, feeling her warm breath against him. He studied her face, wondering how on earth how someone as beautiful as she was had fallen for someone like him. Maybe I'm just dreaming, he thought, and he smiled outwardly at the corniness of it. Of course he wasn't dreaming. Otherwise he and Jasmine would be having the same dream.
Jayden wished that she was in the same house as he, that they could spend the nights together as well. I suppose there's some things you have to sacrifice to be in paradise he thought, grinning at the prospect of being able to feel alive again. Something about Jasmine just made him love life again, and not worry so much about Death Eaters and his paranoia.
He turned to her, and remembering his previous conversation with Twilight, asked her, "I know this is a really random question, but do you like to play Quidditch? I think that I would love to play Quidditch with my..." Jayden hesitated at this point, not knowing quite what to call her. He grinned with a sudden idea and finished, "With my Girlfriend." He looked away shyly, and then did a double take when he realized that he hadn't even asked her out yet.
Clearing his throat, he quietly murmured, "Speaking of that.....that reminds me. Would I have the honor of being your boyfriend, and co-creator of the Knitting Club?" He held her petite hand in his as he spoke, his deep brown eyes shining as he looked at her. He couldn't wait for this to continue.

Jasmine's gorgeous lips turned up into a smile as she heard Jayden's words. They lit a fire in her heart and made her happy--something she hadn't truly felt for a while now. She allowed her small fingers to trace lines on the Ravenclaw's cheeks, making swirls, her soft hands moving in random directions. Jas remembered waking up that morning to the beautiful weather, just knowing something good was going to happen. It really was turning out to be the perfect day, after all.
"Nah," she whispered to him. Jasmine's dark eyes glittered in the sunlight as she looked at Jayden. She wondered what he would think, though she wouldn't make him wait long. She couldn't.
"But I do want to be your girlfriend." Her smile grew wider, shyly, deviously. "And I would love to learn to play quidditch from my boyfriend." The Gryffindor leaned over to Jayden and smiled slyly before she pecked him softly on the lips. The kiss was full of promise and longing, though she pulled away quickly.
"You really think people will join a club that we head up?" she wondered aloud. The beautiful smile on her face couldn't be wiped away by anything at the moment--and she hoped it was stuck on there for good. Jasmine wondered how she could possibly feel so strongly for a boy she hardly knew, yet somehow felt she knew better than the better than most.
Jas moved her small frame to lean against Jayden. She could feel her long, wavy hair falling over his shoulder and over his back, and she laughed at the thought of it. She was too happy for her own good as she sat there, reaching out her hand to play with his warm fingers. Her hideous scarf lay forgotten on her lap, its red color contrasting with the darkness of her jeans.
"I don't think I would," she teased him.

Ooc: You left Jayden hanging for a loooong time there. =) But I forgive you. You're lucky you are cute. Ic: Jayden smiled in nearly delirious happiness as Jasmine softly stroked his cheek, keeping his arm steady around her waist as he looked out into the surroundings. It was just past midday now, as the sun slowly began to desend back to it's starting place. He looked back at Jasmine, keeping steady eye-contact with her. He grinning sheepishly at her, knowing that she was the more courageous of the two of them. Then again: It made sense. After all, she was in Gryffindor for a reason.
When he heard her say that she would love to be his girlfriend, he felt a broad smile creep onto his face before he laughed and said, "Well, I'm glad that turned out the way it did. You could have completely rejected me, after all. But I didn't think you would. Not after that kiss, anyways." His deep brown eyes glimmered as he kissed the top of her head, revelling in the softness and warmth of her hair.
His heart leapt momentarily when she added that she would also like to learn Quidditch. Watching as she played with his hands, he murmered, "If you are willing to learn, I will be learning to teach. But you should also show the proper respect. I think the term 'Professor' should do nicely." He smiled slyly back at her, a slight retort to what she had said earlier, and closed his eyes for a second as she gave him another peck on the lips.
He knew the etiquette to kissing (as odd as it may sound), but he was also curious to her history. After all, they had hardly knew each other when he fell in love with her. Whether or not she loved him back, or simply liked his company, he didn't know. But he felt that what they already had was pretty special: After all, who falls in love with someone after just a few days?
Feeling her lean against him, he released his arm from around her and let her sit up against him. "So.....we really haven't swapped stories yet. I want to know a few things about my girlfriend, after all. I don't want to look like a complete idiot. Ladies first, of course. Unless you want me to go." He gave her a sidelong glance and a quick smile before settling down to wait for her response.
Stretching his arms slowly, he yawned for a few seconds and heard her ask if anybody would actually join the club. Thinking about it for a few seconds, he concluded: "Well, I doubt people would want to join a club with a bunch of weirdos like us. Maybe we could bribe people to pretend to be intrested in it." He snickered at the thought of passing people Sickles just to join the stupid club.
