Time of Day: Night
Weather: Windy and Cold
Rory stumbled out of Hogwarts and into the night. Her whole body trembled as she headed town towards the lake. She knew that she had a big fever. Rory had just taken her temperature and the thermometer said that she had a 106.3 fever. She would get high fevers all the time and she knew that there was only one way to make it go down. Her legs felt like jello as she kept walking towards the lake. She took off her jacket as she was walking and tossed it on the ground.
She had only worn a tanktop and some boxer shorts, since thats what she sleeps in. She started shaking really bad from the cold as she kept walking. Rory then coughed really hard and took a deep breath. She put her arms around her and saw that she was almost there.
As Rory reached the lake, she looked at her reflection on the black water and saw that she was extremely pale and had dark circles around her eyes. She shivered at both the look of herself and the cold. I look dead. She thought to herself.
Rory then took a deep breath and jumped into the lake. She felt one of the worst feelings ever as she went under. Like a thousand knives were hitting her. She then resurfaced and let out a blood-curdling scream and began to cry. She knew that she had to be in there for a while to get her fever to go down. She shivered and coughed, praying for the time to go by faster so that she could get back inside.
Rory then realized something... she was supposed to meet Jonnie in the gardens tonight. Great! He's going to think I stood him up! Good going, Rory!! She thought as a huge shiver went down her body. Her whole body was shaking and everytime she moved, the cold hit her all over again. Please let this fever go away. Please! She pleaded in her mind to no one in particular.
