Yeah, um so Rowling did an interview thinger or something lately and brought some new facts to the books that I find rather interesting and sharable to you all. I kinda also feel like discussing some of this Click here for a very interesting interview. Some stuff that is revealed can be rather surprising like the fact that Neville did marry, he married Hannah Abbot who lives owns the Leaky Cauldron now and that Dumbledore is gay and he once loved Grindelwald. Read the interview, it's really good. I was glad to see that Neville married! It's so cool that he lives above the Leaky now then But the news on Dumbledore was surprising. I didn't think his relationship with Grindelwald had been anything more than friendship when I read the seventh book...Poor Dumbledore though, having him, your brother or you being the killer of your sister and then having to send your partner to prision...that's tough and so sad. Talk to me people! Or about other interviews and whatnot...

I was so surprised when I found out about Dumbledore earlier today....I mean part of me never expected it. Though of course i think through all the years it would explain things. Especially why we never knew about his love life. And Grindelwad....wow. Thats all I can say, lol.
I'm so happy for Neville though! He got married, landed his dream job. I'm glad he got both of those things, knowing how hard his past was.
I think it's so good to get pretty much all our questions answered now. I mean it sucks the series is over, but it was bound to happen soon.

The link to the interview did not work, so I missed the entire interview. I figured Nev would have become a Professor, this was obvious all through the books, but marrying Abbott? That is sorta interesting, I always hoped Luna and Nev would hook up, but I guess you can not get it all, huh?
As for Dumbledore, this was some revelation, I mean if this was obvious when the books were first coming out, how many parents do you think would have protested, and raised a big fuss? I bet it would have been an outrage. It is sad that some people are like that though...
Either way or the other, I did not like Dumbledore, and was not a huge Harry Potter fan at all. I think the cast around him was far more interesting than Harry. If it was not for those around him, Harry would not have bumbled through and survived all the things he did, right?

I wasn't surprised at all when I heard about this. In fact, it just sort of made sense, you know? There's always been speculation about professors and spouses...and it never seemed right that there was a Mrs. Dumbledore somewhere. I'm pretty sure all the fanfiction about him casts him as being romantically interested in Harry or Snape or, strangely enough, Fawkes, anyway. *shrugs* Thing is, since it was never mentioned in the series, it's sort of like a message about tolerance, isn't it? Dumbledore was a great wizard, no matter what his faults were in the end, and everyone agreed about that. His preferences never entered into the picture...because they shouldn't have. I personally always hated Harry as well, Jonnie. Sirius and the Marauders were more my cup of tea...but even in that era, Dumbledore was an important figure. Maybe moreso than in Harry's era. As for people being upset about this news...like the religious nutcases that were burning Harry Potter books a few years ago...that sort of sillyness is why world peace will never happen. As long as you're not hurting yourself or others, I think you should be allowed to do whatever you want. More power to Dumbledore, lol. The cheeky old bugger would have secret trysts with fallen evil wizards.

If I did not know any better Madison, I would swear you were a Wiccan. Knowing you as I do, it is amusing to me that you just stated the logic behind Wiccan and the nature based religion without even knowing you did so. It is when people sees the logic behind things, and lets go of the fear of what they do not understand... well, this is when tolerance happens. You are much smarter than you give yourself credit for.

Heh. I may be Lutheran, but I'm not ultra-religious. I think it's the camp songs that reel me in every time...I'm a sucker for an acoustic guitar and a campfire. But yeah...I told you a hundred times that I read about it a long time ago. If my mother didn't threaten me with exorcism in high school I probably would have stopped going to church. Now that I'm living on my own, I have, lol. I've always been interested in nature based religion. Just makes more sense.
just so that I'm not totally spamming this thread...
Why Harry Potter is so politically charged is beyond me, but...JKR is a pretty good lady when it comes to tolerance messages, I think. About more than just Dumbledore too...it's pretty easy to draw parallels between Voldemort and certain 20th century crazies.
