Regulus yawned and nudged a box with his foot, eying it disdainfully. He should have been unpacking it...but he'd spent an afternoon hauling each of the boxes that he and Adriana had magically packed from their houses the muggle way. It was easy enough to pull in their old school trunks...make sure that Slytherin's locket got inside safely, cracked though it was. But after three trips up and down the stairs, Regulus was honestly done. They hadn't even gotten around to bringing in any surplus furniture yet either...after his thirteenth trip up the stairs, he'd simply laid down on the carpeted floor in the main room. Closing his eyes, he caught his breath for a moment. Honestly, how did muggles stand to live this way? He'd wanted to put a charm on the boxes to make them lighter, but Addie had reminded him that the muggles would think something was odd if he didn't sweat at all. For the first time in his life, Regulus was truly starting to appreciate all of the anti-muggle security on his parents' house. He nudged the box again. It sat there almost mockingly...demanding to be unpacked. His own tidy handwriting was scribbled across the side marking it as books...they'd have to go onto a shelf somewhere, or at least be piled so that they were accessable. Even when he'd been in Hogwarts, his books hadn't weighed that much. >>OOC: I just wanted to write this...them moving in, I mean. Can we just call it pre-Katie for now? it's 1979, wench. You can decide if you want it to be completely lovechild-free or not, lol... <<

Adriana walked around the room, waving her wand at her belongings sorting them in their rightful places. Pausing as she passed a mirror she rubbed her growing belly gingerly. She was about 5 months pregnant, not too large but definitely showing. Waving her wand again, she unpacked some extra boxes Regulus had brought in moments before. Satisfied with the work done in the room so far, she walked out to the main room looking to see what her boyfriend was doing.
Watching him from a distance, she sniggered to herself as he kicked a box grudgingly and proceeded to lie on the carpeted floor. Moving her bare feet as softly as possible she sneaked closer to get a better look at him. Smiling she looked at his face which showed his exhaustion from moving the boxes into the flat the muggle way. Waving her wand at the remaining boxes they began to unpack themselves and arrange the contents in their proper homes.
Nudging him with her foot she giggled. “Well the moving has been done, I suppose you can get ready for some shopping” she teased him. She didn’t have any intention of going anywhere, even though she didn’t move as many things as he did the pregnancy definitely took a lot of energy from her.

Regulus tried not to groan at her, but it was a losing battle. "Shopping?" he whined, not opening his eyes. "Adriana..." He was too tired to really think about it, but the first thing that sprang to his mind was wandering into Diagon Alley and being immediately surrounded by Death Eaters, the Dark Lord drifting in from the shadows between two buildings... "No shopping. Not now," he said definitively.
He looked up and saw that Adriana had unpacked by wand, and thought rather remorsefully that he would have liked to do a little bit of magic in the moving in. Feeling even worse for muggles than he ever had in his life, his eyes drifted up to his pregnant girlfriend.
Regulus sat up and ran his hands through his sweaty hair, tugging his t-shirt over his head and tossing it onto the ground. "We can do the shopping later. But...not in Diagon Alley," he said cautiously. "I doubt that anyone is going to come looking for me in a muggle apartment complex, but going into London right now is a bit of a death wish, love." Regulus paused and regarded her curiously, some of his exhaustion giving away now that he'd started thinking about the last of the things they had to do. "You're not hungry, are you?" he asked, frowning. If they were going to have dinner early, then the shopping couldn't exactly be put off for very long. When they'd been robbing their parents' houses, they'd taken their possessions but unfortunately neglected to pick through their respective pantries.
Setting up and living in an apartment would not be as hard as destroying horcruxes. Regulus took a deep breath and stood up, stretching out a bit and then crossing the room to his old school trunk. Opening it, he pulled out a small box, about the size of a ring box. It had been enchanted a few months before to hold more than it appeared it would be able to. He shook some galleons out of it. "We have to get our money changed," Regulus said, smirking as he thought of handing one of the gold coins to a muggle shopkeeper.

Adriana grinned mischievously as he whined about going shopping.. "Regulus..." She mimicked him playfully. "No shopping. Agreed, though we will need to call for food then since we forgot to bring some along with all the other crap we brought." She said already knowing where his thought process drifted too.
Adriana let her eyes wander to his Quidditch toned body as he took off his shirt. "Well, I wasn’t thinking Diagon Alley love. Muggle grocery stores are a bit more helpful as far as getting the things I need to cook. Not to mention we will eventually need to get more furniture and the muggle department stores are relatively cheap comparing it to wizarding money, so that will be a good deal for us. “She said explaining the inevitable.
Grinning sheepishly as he asked her if she was hungry, she nodded. "Not much, although the baby is certainly not helping with my already monstrous appetite. I can much on some chips I have left over from lunch. I’ll share them with you too." she said. Rubbing her belly she sat on the floor with him looking around the flat at the same time.
Watching him pull out a handful of galleons, she grimaced remembering her handful of muggle money as well was running low. "I have enough muggle money to get us by for a few days but your right we need to get it changed. I am going to need to go to Diagon alley and change the money for us then, and you can keep here for a bit, I dunno maybe reading or relaxing." She said with a shrug, concerning herself with making sure that her boyfriend stayed out of any possible death eaters eyes.

He nodded, agreeing instantly. "Right." But Regulus paused, frowning at Adriana. "Who are we going to...call?" he asked, still not used to the idea of living like muggles. Calling out would mean using a telephone, and his muggle-savvy girlfriend had better know how to work one or they'd both go hungry. It wasn't like they had access to an owl-out service though. Or an owl to owl-out with, even if such a thing existed. That'd be a nice way to alarm the muggle neighbors.
He was relieved that they weren't going to be heading out to Diagon Alley just yet. Regulus was still alive, yes, but if he showed his face again in the wizarding world too soon that could easily change. The Dark Lord had ways of finding people...short of going to Dumbledore and asking for help if hiding on his own failed, Regulus was clean out of options. "Muggle department stores?" he repeated, confused. "Why are there departments? How big are they?" Coming from a home where every article of furniture was an heirloom, a school where everything was handed down from the founding days, he couldn't exactly picture shopping for muggle furniture. Was it much different than wizarding furniture? "Money doesn't matter, love. My leftover pocket change from mum and dad itself could probably cover us for a while. And...well, I can always tell you how to get into mum and dad's vault. I could command Kreacher to take you over there."
Regulus slipped his arm around Adriana when she sat down next to him, gently kissing the side of her face. "I don't need chips," he said with a smile. "Honestly, we could do the shopping tomorrow and it wouldn't bother me. But if you're hungry, we should probably go and pick something up. Or call out, as you said."
He sighed, shaking his head. "I would never just hang around and read. If you're going to Diagon Alley, perhaps I'll do some of the shopping. How hard can it be? We can order out now, and I'll pick up groceries tomorrow while you're at Gringott's," Regulus suggested, not wanting Adriana to do all of the running around outside the apartment. He didn't want her taking on too much simply because of the fact that he was in hiding. If Regulus had been able to choose, he would have hidden on his own until he knew that the Dark Lord had been defeated. As it was, he wasn't the type of person to disappear on the love of his life when she was having his child. Though he wrestled with the idea of leaving Adriana in the care of her parents for a long time, he just couldn't do it. Regulus knew that every time she left the apartment, she would be in as much danger as he would, if the Death Eaters who noticed her had good memories. A trip to Gringotts couldn't hurt too much...but to have her do all the shopping too would be ludicrous.

Adriana grinned as he asked who she was going to call. "Well we can order Pizza, Chinese or Italian." she said happily thinking about the food possibilities, ‘dam pregnant woman hormones’ she fussed silently. “You choose love, I can go for anything really if its food.” She said with a grin.
Adriana couldn’t deny that she was a bit put out on not being able to walk freely with her boyfriend but for the sake of safety. Sighing she nodded as he confirmed what she said. "Muggle department stores are giant stores that cell pretty much everything except food. They call em departments as a means of organization I suppose, like women’s, children’s and electronics are all their own respective departments.” Musing on what items needed to be bought, her mind drifted on the things they needed for the baby before her due date. "I know it doesn’t, I was merely pointing out that our muggle money was running low and that we would need to change some more. I have money as well from my parents who well, you know they will do anything for their baby girl." She said with a roll of her eyes. “Kreature fancies the pants off of you Regs, I am another story. He hates me for taking you away from there. So I don’t believe he is an option.” She said knowing the relationship between her and the house elf, things were civil when Regs was around but when he left the house elf did anything and everything to be a bugger.
Grinning as he kissed her she nodded. "Well I offered" she said with a smile. "Shopping tomorrow sounds good, my feet hurt, I’m tired and I’m having the weirdest cravings." She said mournfully. “I’ll call in a few, have you decided what you want?”
Raising an eyebrow she looked at Regulus skeptically. "Regulus I love you, but I don’t see you doing groceries much less by yourself in a muggle store." Shaking her head she sighed. “I’ll do the groceries in the morning, you can come if you’d like. Then I’ll go to Gringotts mid- afternoon maybe pick up some lunch and something from Florean’s as well.” She said. She knew how hard hiding was for Regulus but she knew that letting him on his own in a muggle store by himself wasn’t going to be anything productive, if he went they would most definitely need to go together.

He considered it. "Pizza," Regulus said after a bit. "That way we don't have to get out any of the dishes." He smiled back at Adriana, then let his muggle ignorance show again. "So...who are you calling? Do we have to go and get the pizza, or do they bring it through the telephone?"
Regulus imagined Adriana's description of the department store, to no avail. "We'll have to go, then," he said with a smile. "Right after dinner, if we don't fall asleep before then. At least we can apparate out of the apartment...I don't think we should pay for a muggle car with our limited funds, and I know walking would be too much after everything we've done today." He just wanted to see what this place looked like. But he understood that Adriana couldn't exert herself too much...if she wanted to stay in the apartment for the rest of the night, he'd do whatever she wanted to. "Well, that's what I was saying too," Regulus smiled. "Kreacher likes you," he argued, leaning over and turning her face towards him. "Kreacher likes everything I like, he has to." He kissed Adriana gently, looking at her and smirking. "If I tell Kreacher to be nice to you, he'll be nice to you. That's the way that house elves work. I know you treated yours differently, but if you follow the rules, they're not hard to control."
Regulus frowned, regarding his girlfriend warily. "If you're having cravings, then you should choose what we're having. I don't exactly know this area well enough to get you what you need in the middle of the night. Not like I can nip down to the kitchens and ask the elves," he teased.
He sighed, frowning at Adriana. "I know shops," he protested. "I don't want you to have to do everything. I mean, I can easily go and get the groceries." Regulus said. "You can show me how this time, if you want. But...since you have to do all our errands to Diagon Alley, I want to at least do something. The next time we need groceries though, I'm going to go and get them." He knew as well as Adriana did that going to get groceries on his own would be extremely counterproductive. Not only would he muck up the muggle money, but he'd probably end up getting confused along the way too...coming home without half the things he'd been sent for.

"Pizza sounds wonderful" She agreed with him walking over to the phone to place the order. Giggling at his questions she shook her head. "No love, I call the Pizzeria place the order. Then when its done, someone delivers it to our door where we pay for it." Dialing the operator she was connected to the nearest pizzeria that delivered to their complex. Ordering a simple large cheese, she made sure they had plenty with her new eating habits along with some soda so that Regulus can experience a muggle drink. After ending the call, Adriana faced him with a smile. “It should be here within 30 minutes maybe less.”
Grinning at his enthusiasm to explore the muggle places around the area she nodded. "And we will, but not today, we will go when we have more time and patience; the store should be closing in a few hours and by the time we get there you wont have a chance to see anything." she said with a smile. "Well Apparate to a near by alley or something, as we cant be seen by muggles." Rolling her eyes as he kissed her explaining a house elves nature as if she were a muggle. "No Kreacher likes you, there is a difference. I know how house elves work, but lets not get into that Again." She said with a grin knowing that given the chance they would sit there and debate about house elves as they have for the past 3 years.
She looked at her stomach as if it was something foreign. "I’m having cravings but for things that they don’t deliver. When I do groceries ill remember to pick those things up as well. Bloody useful that kitchen was" she said with a smile reminiscing on her many many trips to the Hogwarts kitchens.
Still regarding him skeptically she bit her lip. "You know Wizarding Shoppes," she corrected. "Muggles are a bit different compared to our ways. I don’t mind you doing it after we go a few times together and you get the hang of it and muggle money." Said resolutely. "Well while I run errand you can do something here in the flat, either paint, or set up the baby’s room. There are quite a few things to get done here as well." She said trying to make him understand that she’s not trying to take things to do away from him, but for the sake of secrecy and less complications the first few trips needed to be together.

Regulus frowned. "Thirty minutes?" he asked. "Merlin, I'm glad I'm not a muggle. Carrying all their things around without any sort of levitation charms...or any other type of charms, for that matter. Cleaning their own houses--having to go and get their own groceries--house elf work. I don't think I've ever been so glad to be a wizard in my life," he said, looking around at the magically unpacked flat. All of that was hardship enough on muggles...Regulus felt a cringe of guilt as he thought about his former allies. After living their lives purely without magic, they got murdered by the Dark Lord and his followers. Now that he was removed from the core of the situation, it just seemed so...unfair. Snapping out of his thoughts, Regulus looked back at Adriana. "Alright, so a muggle's coming with the food? That's good then. Until they get here...let's make a grocery list."
He smiled brightly. "So we'll see the whole thing?" he asked. "Even the departments we don't need to go to?" Regulus tried not to look as excited as he was, but having been raised with absolutely no contact in the muggle world, little things were more thrilling than they should have been. Thank Merlin that Addie wasn't a conventional pureblood, or they both would have been useless when it came to hiding in the muggle world. "Alright, love," he agreed, letting the subject of house elves drop. No point in starting a very old agrument...again. "Though it only appears that Kreacher likes me because he's horrible to Sirius. You haven't had years to watch the way he fawns over mum and dad," Regulus said, laughter in his voice. It wasn't hard to catch Kreacher cooing over the laundry. Sometimes he worried about the elf.
"Very useful," Regulus agreed wistfully. "An army of house elves at your command. Bloody lucky man, that Dumbledore." He looked at Adriana curiously. "What exactly are you craving?" he asked, amused. "Anything particularly unusual?" There'd been a few times when they were still at school that she'd combined the oddest foods imaginable...overall that was the most amusing part of this entire accidental pregnancy.
"Alright," he agreed. "Only if I can paint with magic," Regulus said, eying the walls hesitantly. Moving into the flat the muggle way had been hard enough. If he had to paint the muggle way--he didn't know how muggles painted, actually--he was sure it'd be horribly difficult and he'd end up falling asleep at five in the afternoon when all was said and done. "Let's add some curtains to our list, then, too. Just so that no one catches any glimpses of things they shouldn't see...this could all come crashing down fairly quickly if a muggle got a good look at some magic. The Ministry would be all over us in a matter of minutes...and that would mean we'd both get handed straight to the Dark Lord." Regulus looked at the windows thoughtfully, seeing an older lady in the apartment building next door washing some dishes.

Shaking her head she stifled a few more giggles from Regs expense. "Yes I don’t see you living like a muggle any time soon you spoiled sod. They grow up not knowing that there is an easier way of doing things so I don’t think they mind it too much." she said logically. It was one of those life lessons she was happy her parents taught her, to appreciate her magic because not everyone did. Nodding somewhat distracted she mumbled in response "Mhm muggle is coming with our food. Well start with what do we want to eat?"
Grinning at Regulus she nodded. "The whole thing love, even the departments we don't need to go to." She said happily at the fact that her pureblooded boyfriend was open to new ideas and muggle customs. Leaning over she kissed Regulus lightly on the cheek, letting her thoughts wander to how messed up, yet perfect things were in their life at the moment. "No, Kreacher fancies the pants off you, all you hear is master Regulus this master Regulus that. Honestly I think he would rather that he gave birth to the baby not me. Sorry love but your family is a bit on the mental side, magical servants included" She said playfully..
"Very useful," She said raising an eyebrow. "But for the greater good, not an army of house elves." she said mentally laughing at the sight of Dumbledore on a battlefield with hundreds of elves beside him. "Peanut butter and Strawberry cupcakes. Kung POW chicken, chocolate covered anything, but pineapple mostly. Ohh some cheesy pretzels sound good too." She said trailing off realizing she was rambling about food, she blushed.
"Well the point was so that it would occupy you for more than a few minutes, but I suppose with magic there are fewer odds of you mucking something up." She said. She was concerned at what Regulus might decide to decorate the flat with, but it would keep him busy and less focused on what was going on outside the flat. "Yes well get a set of heavy ones and then decorative ones just in case any flashes of light peek through. No point of hiding if we get caught by muggles." She said with a laugh as they could clearly see the old lady in the building next door going about her business.

He stuck out his lip when she called him a sod. "But I know," he complained, pouting dramatically. "I know, and I still had to lug things in from the street. Would have been much easier just to apparate it here piece by piece but noooo..." Regulus glared through the window at the old woman across the way. "We have to live like stupid muggles now." He said the last part much less theatrically, as it was something that he honestly felt awful about. Growing up with magic, Regulus couldn't see living and then having a child without it too. Not only did it make life much more dangerous for Adriana--without being able to access St Mungo's, what were they going to do? --but it made life dangerous for their baby too. "Usual stuff," he said, a tinge of reluctance in his voice, mind still getting around the idea of what it really meant to live like muggles. "We'll probably need bread...pumpkin juice...lettuce...we can pick up pretty much anything, since we've only got chips in the flat."
A grin spread over Regulus's face when Adriana kissed his cheek. He knew he was doing it again, being excited about silly things. But he couldn't really help it. "Can we go...early tomorrow? How early does it open?" he asked curiously. Regulus made a face when she started on Kreacher. "No, well, I suppose...only because he loathes the very core of Sirius so he's made it a practice to treat me better, but so's mum..." he pretended to gag when she said that Kreacher would rather have the baby. "Oh, no. No, never say anything like that ever again. Imagine...not just Kreacher, any house elf. No. No!" he shook his head, trying not to let his mind wander down dark, scarring paths. "You can have the baby, because you're the only thing in the whole world I ever want to shag," he said resolutely. Regulus smiled a bit at what Adriana said about his family. "Yes, well, I told you they were mental. A long time ago. Surely you're not learning that just now, wench?"
"An army of house elves," Regulus said patiently, "would be for the greater good. Think about having them at your disposal. You'd never have to want for anything in life ever again. Never see a dirty surface. Never experience an unwashed dish in your sink. Never have to see a sink, for that matter. They could do things like build bridges if you asked them to. That's good." He smiled as Adriana began to ramble on about all the things she wanted to eat. When she blushed adorably, he said, "Repeat that again slowly enough for me to write it onto the grocery list," with a flourish of his wand summoning a piece of paper to his hand.
He sat up straighter. "I could paint a room without mucking it up," he defended himself. "Really! Magic makes my life so much more pain-free, but I'm not magic-dependent. There was even a time a few years ago when I couldn't apparate. Remember?" Regulus sulked. "And you don't have to come up with things to occupy me, like I'm a first year. If I'm bored, I'll read...or watch the muggles...or play with the telly." He looked speculatively at the windows. "Green would keep the light in pretty well," he said suggestively, face impassive.

Grinning as he pouted resembling a small child. "Well of course you could have done that, but it would have raised suspicion, we move in so quickly and no one sees how." Adriana sighed sympathizing with him, not that she knew how he must feel having to live like a muggle after growing up with so much magic. "Don’t worry love, it’s only a temporary situation." She said trying to reassure herself as much as him. She didn’t want to raise a child who would be able to enjoy magic freely, much less raise a child in a flat rather than a house with lots of play area. "Actually Ill have to buy pumpkins and make the juice, Muggles don’t drink pumpkin juice. I could get things to make treacle tart too, bread, eggs, cheese, milk, some pasta too and maybe beef for stew." She said trailing off thinking of the possible meals to make.
Thinking about the store hours she pondered how much time they were going to spend being muggles for the day. "Yes, we can go first thing, well after breakfast of course. It should open by 12 the latest." She said not entirely sure of the store hours in this town. "Loving you is better than Sirius." She teased. She giggled as he pictured what she said, he was too easy. "Oh, I know I’m the only thing you want to shag," she said giving him a roguish grin. “It would be why I am currently pregnant” she said with a teasing smile. Nodding solemnly trying to stifle her giggles. "No I realized it shortly after, but I was hoping that it was a phase. I guess not." she teased, knowing perfectly well that her family wasn’t exactly the sanest bunch either.
"An army of house elves is in no way for the greater good. Things like chores build character and responsibility if not everyone would end up lazy sods like you." She teased. She grinned sheepishly when he asked her to repeat herself slowly. “Peanut butter and Strawberries, cupcake mix, chocolate covered anything, pineapple and cheesy pretzels."
"Oh but we could floo instead so it doesn’t count. Well I guess you can always undo everything with your wand if anything gets out of hand." She said agreeing with him. "I know love, but I just don’t want you to go beating yourself up over not being able to do much. Green would be lovely. "

Regulus sighed. "Well, yeah. That's why we did it this way," he said quietly. Looking over at Adriana, he shook his head. "I wish I could say it was temporary, love. But I don't know when it'll end. I wish it was over already, though." Regulus frowned, curious at her response. "Muggles don't drink pumpkin juice? Then what do they drink? Making it would be too hard...way too much work for not a great result--not that your pumpkin juice wouldn't be amazing, just that it's generally not the best even elf-made. Why don't you get muggle juice instead and we'll try that?" he asked, excited again at the thought of trying something new. "Treacle tart?" he repeated, smiling. "You should get some cupcake ingredients too, love, if you're going to do any baking."
Regulus frowned at her. "Adriana," he said patently, "if we're going grocery shopping tomorrow...then what will we have for breakfast? Or can you call that out too?" He sighed. "I don't want to wait that long," he complained. "Why do they open so late?" When Adriana mentioned his brother, Regulus cringed. "Yes, of course it is. My brother is an ignorant wanker sometimes. You would have been horribly unhappy with him." Regulus smiled at her teasing. "Good, glad you know that," he laughed. "And I suppose that's a minor side-effect...nothing to worry about, though." He slipped his hand over her belly, which she'd been rubbing earlier. Flashing a proud grin at her, he leaned over and kissed her baby bump. "Adriana, I'm so sorry that I'm not a better person...that you have to go into hiding with me. You deserve so much better, love." Regulus laughed at her half-stifled giggles. "I warned you, honestly. It's on parchment somewhere if you've forgotten. At least you come from a more normal family, in comparison. Gives one of us a good head," he teased.
Regulus frowned, pretending to be hurt. "Oy, wench, this lazy sod just hauled boxes and boxes of your wordly posessions up the stairs and into the flat, absolutely no magic." He wrote down her list, then looked up and smiled at her. "How about chocolate cupcakes?" he suggested, then glanced at the list and ammended, "Chocolate and peanut butter cupcakes? We can get some of those chips, you know...the peanut butter ones."
"Flooing does not count," Regulus said defensively. "Even a muggle could floo. Apparation takes skill." He glanced around and grinned. "Yes...I can undo everything with magic if I need to. But I won't." Smiling impishly, he said, "Green...with silver accents? What if I did the walls silver?"

Nodding solemnly she looked at him tenderly. "I know love, and being here we have no control over anything. We’ll just make do, its not like we are completely clueless about muggles. She said trying to sound optimistic, although she too, like him was beginning to doubt how temporary this situation was going to be. "Nope, they drink other juices like apple, cranberry, and grape. Well love, you know that making anything for you isn’t an issue; pumpkin juice isn’t that hard really. We can get both just incase." she said remembering the time he tried wine and disliked it. "Of course I will be getting cup cake mix." She said with a large grin. “I’m craving them actually.”
Furrowing her eyebrows, Adriana frowned as Regulus brought up a good point, "Ohh that’s a good question." She paused and bit her lip trying to think of a solution. “We can go to the little diner that’s not far from here; I heard they make the best French toast and waffles." She offered. "Well because they have employees that need sleep and to go home, besides not everyone is generally this excited to go to the Department store." She teased. Slapping his shoulder playfully as he insulted his brother "Oh shush you, you know I only think of him as a brother, much like you should too." She said pointedly. Laughing along with him, she grinned as he kissed her belly. "Regulus Black, Don’t you ever say that again. You are a wonderful person and I love you. I got exactly who deserved and more, hiding is nothing if we are together." She said sternly, sounding much like her own mother. "Hmm I suppose, but she may end up a perfectly normal and calm baby. I’m not to sure I can handle normalcy." she teased.
Kissing his frown, she pat his head playfully. "I know, you are my lazy sod though." Grinning at his suggestion she nodded enthusiastically. "Sounds lovely, chips are good too."
Rolling her eyes at his argument, "Yes, so much skill.” She teased. “We will not have a Slytherin themed house; I refuse to have anything associated to that prat Malfoy.”

Regulus grinned. "Well, you're not completely clueless," he laughed, "Give me a toaster and a telephone and call me a muggle," he said, making sure he pronounced them correctly. "You can get whatever juices you'd like, love. I'm not going to stop you...but if you overwork yourself making pumpkin juice, I won't hesitate to petrify your cute little arse and keep you from hurting yourself and the baby." Regulus said, voice serious but a smile in his tone. He grinned at her agreement. "I'm craving them too, so it looks like we'll be having them soon. Not that my cravings matter as much as yours," he laughed.
Regulus brightened. "French toast sounds good," he said happily. "Why do they let you call out for lunch and dinner, though, but not breakfast? Doesn't the delivery man eat breakfast too?" Regulus asked curiously, looking over at the door to see if said delivery man had arrived yet. Silence fell for a moment. Grinning at the thought of going to the Department store, Regulus said, "Why not? Do they sell food there too? Why wouldn't you be excited about all your shopping being in the same shop?" He sighed when she slapped his shoulder. "I do think of him as a brother, because he is my brother. We just...have basic political differences." Adriana's reprimand took him by surprise. "Yes, mum, he said teasingly. "Even though I still feel like a beast for dragging you away from the wizarding world. I used to tease Snape about that, you know." Laughing at Adriana's teasing, he said, "I'm sure you can find a way to work around it, love. Make her do something wild...so that even if she's perfectly calm and angelic, you convince her that jumping off the kitchen counter or something is perfectly calm and angelic behavior too." He squeezed her hand, making sure to add, "You'll be a wonderful mother, though. Even if I have to coat the floor in pillows for her. At least she'll have fun, love."
Regulus stopped pouting when she kissed him. "Well, since you're my suicidal wench, I suppose I can let it slide. Just for you," he teased. "Good," Regulus agreed, writing a note onto the grocery list. "Chocolate peanut butter cupcakes then."
"Oy," Regulus argued, bumping the end of her nose with a warning finger. "That prat Malfoy happens to be my cousin in law...Cissy is still one of my favorites, even if she did marry a Death Eater prat. Not like she had much choice, you know. And those colors are your boyfriend's colors. Or do you have a history with Lucius that I don't know about...?" he looked at her curiously, not understanding. "We're not going to have a scarlet and gold colored house, either. Scarlet and silver, maybe. Or gold and green. Not scarlet and green, though."
