((ooc - ha ha ha ha lol... shite... we killed mum... whoot whoot inheritance...))
Sirius stared at his brother as he made his own announcement for a split second, before his face broke into the biggest grin ever, but as Regulus moved towards the door their mother made a very strange gurgling noise, Sirius looked over and saw that she was clutching her right shoulder, her eyes popping, and her lips were tinged slightly blue. Sirius' eyes widened in shock.
Oh God, she's having a heart attack, I've killed my mother.
She suddenly slumped slightly, and the hand that was on the arm of her chair, holding her up went slack and she slipped. His Father already moving towards her caught her before she hit the floor, and held her in his arms.
They couldn't just leave now, then it would look like they'd done it on purpose.
"Father if she's not breathing give her CPR."
"What the hell is CBR?" he screamed back.
"Move out of the way." Sirius said pointing his wand at his mother's chest. LKily had taught him a spell to perform CPR a while ago, all he had to do was remember it.

Regulus was frozen in horror as his father caught Walburga, and he almost didn't hear what his brother was saying about breathing. When Orion snapped his irritable question, Regulus didn't quite think before adding, "Yes, what's CRR? Is it a pill of some sort?" He felt sort of detached from the situation...it almost felt like being out amongst the Death Eaters again, like pointing his wand towards the sky and splashing the dark mark across the night.
Sirius advanced towards the prone form of their mother and pointed his wand at her chest. Regulus saw his mouth move but didn't hear what his brother said. He was distracted, thinking about the last time that Sirius had pointed his wand at their mother this way...only rather than lying on the ground in a heap, she had been red-faced and screaming, her own wand clenched in her large meaty fist.
Orion Black did not respond well to the situation either, it appeared. He got to his feet and pointed his wand directly at his eldest son, snarling, "Back away from my wife!"
Suddenly it seemed as if he were back in his own skin again, and the situation felt all too present. Regulus did the only thing that he could think of, and raised his own wand to point at their father. "Leave Sirius alone, dad," he shouted. "I'll curse you before you say another word, don't think I won't. Sirius is just trying to help."
Orion, shaking with fury, clenched his wand ever tighter but lowered it slightly away from Sirius, his eyes locked on Regulus. He himself could hardly believe what had just come out of his own mouth...yesterday, Regulus was fairly certain he would have been overcome with fear even at the thought of threatening his father. Today, apparently, was a new day. He nodded to his brother without looking away from their father. "Alright, Sirius. Do whatever you were going to do--your CDC thing or whatever you said."

Sirius held his father's gaze as the old man pointed the wand at his chest. "CPR is Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, its a muggle technique but it works, and you can perform it weith magic. Every second we waste reduces her chance of survival by 5%..."
Suddenly Regulus interrupted him, standing up to their Father, apparently this was a day for first times, there had now been several. Sirius watched as his Father turned his head to glare at Regulus then slowly lowered his wand as Sirius continued to wrack his brains for the incantion he needed to try and save his mother's life. Which, by the way, he could not understand why on earth he was trying to. Why they couldn't walk out saying she had the heart attack after they left he didn't know, but here he was, doing the honourable thing, as bloody always.
"Regulus, go and floo St Mungo's, tell them its a heart attack, and I'm doing CPR." Sirius moved round to his mother's side opposite his father and knelt down. "Come on Sirius think! Cardio... Cardia... Cardiu... Cardie... Oh to hell with it!" He said, throwing his wand to the floor clasping his hands together palms down, he began to pump his mother's heart.
Nellie the elephant packed her trunk and said goodbye to the circus, off she went with a trumpety trump, trump, trump, trump. Nellie the elephant packed her trunk and said goodbye to the circus, off she went with a trumpety trump, trump, trump, trump.
Sirius pulled a face as he moved so that he was level with her head, he was going to hate this bit. He pulled his hankercheif out of his pocket, laid it over his mother's mouth, then pinching her nose and opening her mouth by pulling down on her chin, he blew into it. Turned his head away to refill his lungs with air, then blew again. He suffled back level with her chest, and recommenced pumping.
God please let the healers hurry up! Nellie the elephant packed her trunk and said goodbye to the circus, off she went with a trumpety trump, trump, trump, trump. Nellie the elephant packed her trunk and said goodbye to the circus, off she went with a trumpety trump, trump, trump, trump.
((OOC - Statistically she's very unlikely to survive this... so it wasn't our fault... really it wasn't...))

Regulus kept his focus on his father primarily but couldn't help looking over to see what his brother was doing. When Sirius tossed his wand aside and dropped to the ground next to their mother to begin giving CPR in the muggle style, pushing rhythmically on her chest. He flicked his eyes back to Orion, but their father was also watching Sirius with a partially horrified, partially curious expression. When Regulus looked back at his brother, the elder Black son was dropping a handkerchief onto Walburga's mouth and lowering his lips to hers. Regulus felt his lunch stir in his stomach and felt as if he might be sick--instantly images of Walburga screaming, spittle flying from those very same lips, came unbidden into his mind.
Was he a bad person if he hoped that his mother never got up off the floor?
As Sirius continued doing...whatever he was doing...Regulus took a step towards their father. "Dad, I...I don't know what Sirius is doing, but...I think we'd better call the medics."
Orion started like someone coming out of a trance. "You...you killed her," he said quietly. "...Regulus...you murdered your mother."
Rage filled Regulus Black almost instantly. As the words left Orion's mouth, Regulus couldn't help but coming to the realization that he felt absolutely no reason to be accepted by this man. Once again, he didn't want to be here. He gaped, looking at his brother speechlessly, wanting Sirius to do something--anything--to get him out of that parlor. Out of that house. A house he never wanted to enter again.

Sirius concentrated on his job, trying to make it look like they didn't kill his mother on purpose, which they didn't but that was seriously not the point. His Father and brother were arguing, he could almost smell the testosterone levels risig from that side of the room, he needed to interrupt them before things got both too out of hand and too distracting.
"Orion Pollux Black, you wife is not dead, she's just not breathing, so shut the hell up! Regulus Arcturus Black go and call St. Mungo's, NOW!" Sirius shouted before administering another set of rescue breaths with a cringe. He looked up as he finished, seeing his father and Regulus about to fly at each other.
"Orion, if you don't listen to me I will stop and she will die. Regulus shift your but over to that fire and floo the hospital!"
Nellie the elephant packed her trunk and said goodbye to the circus, off she went with a trumpety trump, trump, trump, trump. Nellie the elephant packed her trunk and said goodbye to the circus, off she went with a trumpety trump, trump, trump, trump.
((OOC - according to lexicon orion is already dead and mum doesn't die for another three years... but this is an AU site so we can get away with this!!!))

((OOC--I'm so glad you did our lexicon research three years after we began killing mum lol ) When Sirius shouted his full name, Regulus snapped back into his skin and realized that arguing with dad wasn't going to improve the situation at all. He could wish that they had never come to visit all he wanted, but the fact of the matter was that their parents would have found out about all this eventually anyway--and Walburga was old and unhealthy anyway, all that fat couldn't be good for her health, so it really was only a matter of time before she collapsed on her own... Regulus realized that he was still staring at his brother in curiosity and horror, and rushed over to the fire. Scooping up a handful of floo powder out of the urn on the mantle and tossing it into the cheery orange flames, Regulus said, "Saint Mungo's," as clearly as he could. The head of an unfamiliar medic swirled into the flames. "What is the emergency?" boomed out from the flames. Regulus still felt detached from the situation, still felt as though all this were a bad muggle film he was watching late at night, that he found extremely confusing. The voice of the medic spoke with such authority that he responded matter-of-factly, "I think my mum is dead." Hearing those words coming from his own mouth sounded absolutely ridiculous. Walburga, dead? Absolute nonsense. Regulus had been afraid most of his twenty years of life that mum would disapprove of him, disown him, perhaps deprive him of the life she had given him. Hearing that Voldemort had been defeated by James Potter's infant son a few years ago had made more sense than this absurd drama unfolding in his mother's parlor. The medic in the flames responded with some reassurance that help was on its way, and the head disappeared, only to be replaced by the rapidly spinning figure of a medic coming through the floo. As the medic rushed into the room and pushed Sirius away from Walburga, Regulus backed up against the wall and watched them all attempt to resurrect his mum. He looked at Sirius's disgusted face, dad's quivering red mask of rage, and all of a sudden he felt a bizarre urge to giggle. Regulus pressed his lips together in an attempt to keep himself quiet--it was surely bad manners to giggle while mum was dying and a medic was here trying to save her--but he couldn't really help himself. This afternoon was just too ridiculous. He couldn't help it. He looked at Sirius and couldn't control the smirk that tugged at his lips and the hysterical noise that bubbled up from within himself. Great Merlin, they had killed their own mother. Regulus laughed at the idea, at the tapestry with all its ridiculous scorches--really the thing might as well be lace by now, with all the holes burnt into it--at his brother standing in the house he'd sworn never to return to, at Krecher's curious face peering in from the hall, at Orion's outraged expression as he turned to regard his youngest son, at absolutely everything that had happened that afternoon. Any moment now, Katie would be jumping on his chest and waking him up, and he'd be in the bed he shared with Adriana in their flat in London, and none of this ever would have happened, because it was absolutely absurd. "Regulus, stop that," Orion snapped, taking a few steps towards the fire. "Damn you, stop laughing!" he shouted. When his father started towards him, Regulus burst out in full-fledged laughter. This was not happening. He was never in trouble. Dad would never talk to him like that, be that angry with him. Regulus slid down the wall a bit, laughing too hard to stand. This was absolutely not happening.

Sirius heard his brother call the hospital and a medic arrived in seconds, pushing him out of the way with a sigh of frustration at Sirius' attempts to revive his mother. "I couldn't remember the incantation," he explained. "At least I tried." The medic began muttering incantations, but even Sirius could see that there was no hope. Now that he wasn't concentrating on reviving his mother he noticed the Regulus was across the room struiggling not to laugh, and looked over, and incredulity spreading across his face. As he and his father watched the quiet giggling incresed in volume to laughter. Orion reacted as Sirius would have predicted, in anger, and started shouting at Regulus, which just made him laugh harder. Sirius didn't know what to do, but Orion looked like he was about to commit murder. Sirius' eyes widened as he reaslised that Regulus wasn't going to be able to defend himself from anything Orion threw at him. "Regulus, calm down." he said walking over and shaking his brother, looking over his shoulder at his father, who was looking more murderous by the second. "Regulus!" he shouted as he slapped his brother round the face. Orion was suddenly distracted by the medic, who had conjured a streatcher and was sending it towards the fire. "Where are you taking my wife?""To St MUngos sir, whatever happpens next will need to be decided by a healer. An Auror will be here shortly to speak to you all." and with that he and the streatcher disappeared into the fire. With the healer and his wife's body gone, they were alone in the house, and Orion turned on his sons a venomous look in his eyes, Sirius was glad that he had picked his wand up when the medic had pushed him out of the way. He couldn't even hear if Regulus was laughing or not, and all he could see was the man standing in front of him, holding his wand out, as Sirius mirrored his pose. It was ironic how similar the two of them looked, but neither of them noticed that, they were too busy staring each other down. (OOC - have fun )

Regulus took a moment to grab a hold of himself. When the medic entered the room, it was obvious that this was really happening. As surreal as the day was feeling, he wouldn't have imagined a medic coming out of nowhere. And some of those healing spells, he had never heard those in his life, he couldn't have dreamed this up. Taking a step towards the medic, he asked, "What are you doing?"
The St. Mungo's wizard didn't have much regard for the family members in the room, but he did glance up at Regulus briefly and remark, "You don't want her haunting this, er, cheery place, do you?"
The thought of mum roaming Grimmauld Place as a ghost was a sobering thought in itself. Regulus shook his head, the hysterical smile finally fading from his face. "No, thanks." The wizard levitated mum into the flames, despite dad's protests, and that was that.
Regulus was about to say something like Do we follow them, now? but he was immediately silenced by the dual stances that his brother and father were settling into. Battling now that mum was gone, after all the family fighting and the water under the bridge from years past, seemed sort of disrespectful in a way. Shouldn't they just go on to the hospital and pick this up another day? But Orion's eyes were glinting with an unfamiliar cold hatred, and Regulus was certain that whoever spoke first would get a mouthful of hexes for it.
Sirius seemed to be thinking of which spell best to use. Regulus gripped his wand and thought about that for a moment, too. They didn't want to kill their father in the same day that they had killed their mother, that seemed downright criminal. He would have to try and stop them both before they could do any damage to one another.
Orion opened his mouth at that instant, and Regulus snapped, "Expelliarmus!" Both wands shot across the room from Sirius into his open hand. Perhaps that was the wisest course of action for the moment, but it certainly was not a good way to placate the situation. Orion looked as if he could get out a good avada kedavra without a wand in his hand at the moment. No need to curse him or anything, best the wands be taken out of the picture altogether.
"Listen," he said quickly. "Shouldn't we get on and go with mum? I mean, seems sort of childish to be fighting now. We have to see to her." Hopefully that would bring some sort of realistic sense of duty to the other two men, and the fight could be put off for another day.

Deciding that trying to disarm his father was maybe the best way to stop them killing each other, he opened his mouth to form the correct words.A split second later, Orion started speaking too and suddenly Regulus had disarmed the both of them and his wand was soaring out of his grip.
Sirius would have glared at his brother for taking his wand but his eyes were fixed on his fathers, watching every tiny move the old pure blooded freak made. Maybe Regulus had been right all those years, Sirius was a set in his ways and as stubborn as his parents. The thought made him a little sick.
He felt his hand close into a fist around the space that his wand had left and the other hand followed suit. The thought of a fist fight with his father almost made him smile, you'd be an idiot to put a bet on an old man, and Sirius had plenty of experience without a wand when it came to things like this. All Sirius knew was that he didn't want to follow Walberga to the hospital, and besides they had been told to stay here.
"The healer said to wait here for an Auror." he said calmly, though through gritted teeth. At that moment the fire flared up again and said official walked through the flames with his wand out, as though ready for anything. Sirius didn't even look to see who it was, but stayed staring at his father, the menace in both sets of eyes apparent to anyone.
"And what seems to be the problem here Gentlemen?"
