Grinning she ignored the sarcasm he laced into his voice. "I know love, I’m just trying to make all your dreams come true." she said mischievously. Her grin became wider as he whined much like Katie did. "I did, but I didn’t say when." She said smartly, nodding enthusiastically her innocent smiled matched his "Well I may be the mischievous wench but one with a spoiled ninny, we are the perfect couple love."
Rolling her eyes as he attempted to give Malfoy some good qualities she scoffed. "Yeah I’m sure that’s all he said, not that you minded getting in my pants, it certainly wasn’t out of your site." She said laughing at his amendment, "Dam straight I wouldn’t have shagged you for knocking me off my bloody broom, the only way I get off is if I voluntarily jump." She said mischievously. Rolling her eyes she shook her head at his argument, "Horribly old but we still won, we had a real team, half the time your teammates were knocking everyone off their brooms making it easy for your chasers to score, It was never a fair game against Slytherin. You were honestly the only decent one on the team, and not saying that because I was shagging after." Snorting at his comment about his mother, she pictured that she would say something like that. "Yeah that certainly sounds like something your mother would say."
Grinning up at him she kissed him softly, "Good, because if then you probably wouldn’t be able to get rid of me." Walking happily with Regs’s arm around her as Katie happily watched the muggles, she grinned thinking about how wonderful things had gotten. Although she didn’t share too many memories like this with her family there were still good ones that stuck out which she wasn’t too sure Regulus could say about his childhood.
Adriana glared at Regulus when she noticed a duck suddenly stop so Katie could catch it. She knew he had done it, and although it was for their daughter, if he had been seen or if the ministry decided to trace it they could be in so much trouble. Remembering that she transfigured the camera she felt herself calm down a bit, crossing her arms over her chest she stared at the open sky thinking about their argument, she wasn’t going to apologize for something that wasn’t her fault, he was the one who wanted to argue. Snapping out of her thoughts she looked at her daughter who was happily petting a duckling who didn’t seem to mind her at all.

"Well, you don't have to try hard," he laughed. "Why try at all, in fact?" Regulus grinned at her. "Perfect couple, indeed. I like the way you think. Always have."
He laughed, seeing her roll her eyes and knowing she was about to say something amusing. "Minded? I never minded that, love. But I'd take you in quidditch gear, in uniform...Merlin, in nothing at all." He looked knowingly at her and replied, "hence your odd ability to remain safely in the air despite my superb flying abilities." Regulus quirked an eyebrow. "Wilkes was a bloody good chaser, if you recall. Usually gave Potter a run for his gold. But I will agree that the rest were rubbish, love. Even if we were flying circles around you." Regulus shrugged one shoulder. "My mother says a lot of things. I try not to pay attention any more. When the hag dies, we'll grab some of the gold and sell everything in the house."
"Why would I want to?" Regulus asked, smiling against her lips as she kissed him. Adriana was the best thing that had ever happened to him....and maybe it was time to get serious about her. More serious than they already were, living together and raising a daughter.
Regulus watched Katie pet the duck, keeping an eye on the others to make sure she wasn't going to get attacked for touching the wrong one. They fluttered a short distance away, quacking worriedly about their friend's strange behavior. He glanced around again, looking closer now for any sign that they'd been noticed. Seeing no one, he let his eyes drift hesitantly to Adriana. She was standing with her arms crossed, watching Katie as well. Regulus looked at her for a moment, then back at their daughter. There was no point in saying anything...he hadn't been trying to fight with her. When she calmed down, she'd break the silence. For now, it was calming enough to watch Katie pet the duck and just let parental duties take over for a little while. They weren't going to break up over something as trivial and stupid as an argument about snakes and fears.

She giggled at his playful sarcasm, she enjoyed his snippiness far more than he could imagine, but the playfulness just added to the reasons why she loved him. "Because without trying its not nearly as much fun" She replied with a mischievous grin. "Of course you would. I am the only who seems to think around here " She said teasingly. “Im the beauty and the brains, your my man power.”
Adriana bit her lip to prevent yet another eye roll, merlin she loved the wizard but he was such a boy. "Im sure you didn't. Sometimes I wonder how we didn't get caught. It seemed like that was the majority of our extra curricular activities, you were absolutely insatiable." Even though she tried to pretend to be annoyed, truth be told she was just as insatiable as he was. "My ability to stay in the air was because you couldn't keep up with my superb flying skills." She replied poshly “Merlin knows Slytherin could have used any help they could get. They were flying in circles around me because they couldn't get their heads out of their arses. ” On a much lighter note she scoffed at his comment about his mothers gold. "Oh please love, if that hag ever dies, aggrippa knows she would have seen it coming and destroyed everything for you. Its not like she was going to leave anything to your brother."
"One day you'll think I've gone completely off the deep end. Ill be collecting gnomes or some muggle rubbish." She told him with a smile “Maybe you'll find a witch prettier than me”. She said playfully. Despite the playfulness to the conversation, sometimes she felt that someday waking up she was going to be alone, that he didn't want a serious commitment or a family life.
Even though she was watching Katie gently manhandle the duckling she would occasionally glance out of the corner of her eye. Her intention was to argue, much less get angry but he didn't seem to understand how much she really wanted to forget about the snakes. Her fear wasn't the issue anymore, it was the lack of communication and neither of them wanted to bend. He was upset for her not sharing, she was upset because he was upset and it was becoming a vicious cycle. Biting her lip she continued to watch her little witch in order to find the right words to say to him.

Regulus snorted. "Man power indeed. Now that you have me all trained to shlep things around like a muggle, I'll have to make sure we never return to the magical world again. If we did, you could just charm and summon to your little heart's content and you would have no use for me at all." He concluded with a theatrical pout, hoping that she was going to assure him that he had other uses. Regulus did feel horrible for forcing his small family into hiding because of his poor choice of friends, and he had to admit that Adriana often was responsible for holding his hand and instructing him on how to act around the muggles, not to mention that she did most of the cooking and housework on her own. Regulus had relied too much on magic and house elves while he was growing up to be much help to her. And that, along with his involvement with the Dark Lord, was something he regretted wholeheartedly.
He smirked at his girlfriend and slipped an arm around her, not bothering to disguise his thoughts. "I feel like I've spent entirely too much time in class lately, Professor Bell, and not nearly enough practicing my extracurriculars," he said suggestively. "Perhaps we can have a test on that insatiable appetite you mentioned?" Her feigned annoyance didn't fool him for a second. Regulus knew Adriana better than that. When she mentioned Slytherins with their heads up their arses, Regulus laughed. "Yes, some of my teammates were gits through and through, but some of yours couldn't get their brooms off the ground because of their big, fat heads weighing them down," he countered ."And the only reason I ever flew a circle around you was because of your cute and distracting little arse," Regulus joked. "I was never much interested in my teammates anyway." He shook his head when she commented on his mother. "Sweetcakes, she's not going to do something so silly. At the very worst, she'll bequeath it all to my cousin Narcissa. Mum's far too proud of the house and the heirlooms to destroy them all."
Regulus looked skeptically at Adrianna and said, "Why on earth would you collect gnomes? And I wouldn't care if you collected muggle rubbish so long as I could play with it too." Regulus saw a look of apprehension cross her face, or perhaps even sadness, as she mentioned him finding another witch. He was instantly upset with his girlfriend, despite her status as the love of his life and mother of his child. "What on earth is in your head, woman? Nothing could ever make me leave you," he said instantly. "Absolutely nothing. Like it or not, you're stuck with me."
Regulus also continued to watch Katie and attempt to figure out an easy end to the argument. He just didn't understand why Adriana had never told him about her fear of snakes--to Regulus, snakes were so natural. The tap handles at mum and dad's, the Slytherin emblem...many of his school mates had kept snakes as pets as well. Regulus also felt like a horrible person for suggesting to his girlfriend that they go see the snakes, and a while ago that they use snakes as a part of their decoration in the flat, when she was so terrified of them. Katie petted her duck and turned to beam a sunny smile at her parents. "Mummy, daddy, I'm gonna name him Louis!" she announced.
Regulus couldn't help but laugh at his toddler. "Alright, sweetheart, but Louis has to live at the zoo," he responded. "Want to take a picture with him?"

Adriana couldn't help ut giggle at her absurd boyfriend. "And what a man you are.” She said giving him a lascivious wink “Darling, I dont think you could handle living life as a muggle, as it is its been a learning experience for you. However I do have other things I keep you around for, despite how much I like watching you work. You are extraordinarily pretty to look at." She concluded playfully, stepping closer to him to give him a chaste kiss on his pout with a playful nip of his bottom lip. “I wouldn't have it any other way love, maybe one day we can move from the man power to possibly cooking something without burning the flat down.” She teased remembering the first time Regulus attempted boiling water without her supervision. The putrid smell of something burning lingered through the flat, upon further investigation, she entered the kitchen to see a panicked Regulus, a burning pot, and a giggling Katie. It was safe to say that was the last time she took a nap near tea time.
She snorted and rolled her eyes at his suggestiveness, sometimes he acted as if he never left Hogwarts, the boyish charm forever present. "Well Mr. Black, you've been a naughty boy. Im not sure if you've earned any extra curricular activities." She teased. "Insatiable appetite, extra curricular activities? Are you planning to bake cookies with me?" She asked with feigned innocence, knowing very well her appetite wasn't for cookies. Rollin her eyes at his need to insult her teammates, she did have to agree the younger years for James Potter and Sirius Black were most definitely less than modest. "Well at least it was something they got over, where as your teammates would have undoubtedly and unfortunately passed it on to their children." she countered."Shame you focused only on my arse, Im sure Gryffindor could have used at least some sort of athletic competition, you made it way to easy for us." She couldn't help but agree, that his dreadful mother would do something such as give her belongings to a distant relative. "Your probably right, its not like she'd send it to Azkaban to her favorite niece."
Shrugging, she widened her eyes innocently "Why wouldn't I? They are kind of cute if you squint and use your imagination. You couldn't play with all the muggle rubbish though, I mean what if I decided I wanted something like nails or hammers. It would be a recipe for disaster. Not to mention not very child friendly, so for the sake of Katie I wont collect muggle rubbish." Having the decency to look sheepish, she bit her lip as he instantly berated her for being absurd thinking that he would leave her. "I dunno Regs, sometimes it all feels like a dream. Im so happy that this, all of this, Katie, you could all be just a dream." she said softly. "Well I guess we are stuck with each other, I wouldnt let you go without a fight, and we've established that I am the strongest of the two." she teased.
Adriana felt horrible for causing the tension, even more for undoubtedly making Regulus think he was somehow the bad wizard in the picture. She didn't want him to change who he was, his life because of some fear, even if it meant being constantly reminded, merlin knows she had to live with it at Hogwarts. Smiling at her daughter who was completely oblivious to her parents strife, she giggled at the ridiculous names she would come up with for a duck. “Lovely darling, Louis is a perfect name. And Daddy's right, Louis needs to stay at the Zoo.”
Katie, diverting her attention between her parents and the duckling smiled toothily at her dad. “Yes Daddy Picture with Louis Please.” She practically yelled while posing with the squirming duck.

Regulus tried to fight the smile that her kiss and nip drew to his face, but he couldn't resist. "I could too handle life as a muggle. I do alright as it is, and you don't have to teach me nearly as often as you used to, love," he defended himself. To the later portion of her compliment, he quipped, "I'm partial to looking at you, but I don't blame you for being amazed by my charm. Obviously our beautiful little witch is proof that we're equally exquisite." As Adriana's expression went slightly far away, Regulus tried to guess which instance of his cooking prowess she was recalling. Was it the time he melted the pot on the stove, or the time he set the oven on fire with a plastic container? Regulus considered his ill-fated attempt to speed up the baking time of a batch of sugar cookies by turning the oven temperature up another hundred degrees. He smiled sheepishly at his girlfriend and said, "I think I'll need your continued assistance in that department for a long while yet."
He couldn't resist grinning outright at her comment about extracurricular activities and replied easily, "Oh, well then, is it going to be detention? I wouldn't mind being taught a lesson by a certain professor of muggle studies who happens to share a flat with me. Perhaps I can be sent to the bedroom until I apologize for my naughty ways." Regulus rolled his eyes at her quasi-innocent suggestion, but despite that his stomach grumbled at the mention of cookies. "Well for right now, I wouldn't be opposed to buying you lunch." He wriggled his eyebrows at her and added quickly, "We can think about what we're making together later on, okay?" When Adriana made fun of Regulus's teammates, he gave her a scandalized expression and waved a hand toward their daughter, saying, "I hope that doesn't apply to me, love, or you're insulting my favorite girl. And I don't allow that from anyone."
Regulus jutted out his lip instantly. "But you said you would collect muggle rubbish. What on earth is a hammer?" he thought about the word and suggested vaguely, "Do you get it from a pig?" He put his arm around Adriana and kissed the top of her head. "It's more of a dream come true for me than you, sweetheart. You made all the right choices growing up to come out right here. By all rights, I should be sitting in prison right now. Of the two of us, I'm the one that should be the most grateful."
He produced the camera from the stroller and crouched down, framing Katie and Louis through the lens and clicking the button. Once she heard the click, Katie let her captive friend loose and ran over to Adriana. Louis the duck swam quickly out into the center of the nearest exhibit pond. "Mummy, I want to see the doggies!" Katie squealed. Regulus put away the camera and looked over at his girlfriend, not necessarily apologetically, but willing to put the argument behind them. After all, they had only just arrived at the zoo, and there was plenty still to see.

Rolling her eyes at his failed attempt to hide his smile, she agreed to appease him and give credit where it belonged. "Your right love Im sorry, I dont seem to have to interfere nearly as much; but it doesn't mean I am willing to give up magic and live as a muggle unless absolutely necessary. " Giggling at his excellent display of modesty, Adriana shook her head amused at some of the silly things that come out of Regulus's mouth. "Oh I know your partial to looking at me, and definitely partial to doing more than looking; but I do believe its my charm thats amazing and was clearly passed on to the little witch." Even though she knew Katie was a perfect blend of both her and Regulus, Katie definitely inherited the mischievous and adventurous side of her mother, and for poor Regulus it may or may not be a good thing. Grinning proudly she agreed with Regulus, "Most definitely love, but lucky for you I enjoy cooking immensely especially baking, hopefully the little witch wont develop my sweet tooth."
Adriana's cheeks reddened slightly at the direction their conversation was taking, "Detention sounds promising, However if I send you to the room Id have to go too. How else can I ensure you'll be a good boy?" Smiling excitedly at his mention of food, her body agreed with him as well, her stomach let out a gurgle in appreciation. "Excellent, they have animal shaped chicken nuggets that Katie's sure to love, and I could go for a burger." Winking at him, "Oh we'll be making sweet music love." Glancing at Regulus innocently, or trying to look innocent "Of course not, I would never dream of such a thing."
Giggling at his adorable pout, she shook her head amused at the similarities between him and Katie. "I guess we can, so long as its child safe. A hammer is a piece of metal attached to a stick used to hit things into place, but its extremely heavy and hurts if you are accidentally struck with it. In other words, you dont get it from a pig" She finished with a giggle. Adriana sighed happily as he wrapped his arm around her. "It's a dream come true for the both of us.We've both made the choices that helped us get to where we are, and given us the beautiful little witch of ours."
Smiling at Katie, she reached for her daughters hand to walk in the direction of the wolves, or puppies in the words of Katie. Bitting her lip, she glanced at Regulus then back to Katie before making a decision. Even though she couldn't find the words to express her feelings, she knew something that would. Walking over to Regulus with Katie in-tow, hand firmly in hers, she kissed his lips in hopes that he could understand she was sorry, and that she understood she was wrong.

Regulus exhaled strongly in relief and said to Adriana, "I'm glad that you say that, love. I was worried that we'd be spending the rest of our lives mucking about trying to avoid using magic if you had your way. Glad to know you're still a witch at heart." He leaned over with a grin and put his arm around her shoulder when she quipped about her charms. "I hope that it is your charm she inherited, and not your snappy wit or your love of trouble," Regulus admitted. He couldn't imagine having to keep both Adriana and Katie from flinging themselves off brooms or whatever other dangerous activities struck their minds at once." Regulus grinned outright at his lovely girlfriend and said, "I feel as if she's doubly cursed in the sweet tooth department, love. You definitely bake much sweeter things than Kreacher ever did. I don't think I knew what sweets truly were until you wriggled your way into my life."
Adriana's quick response brought a smirk of the mischievous nature to his face instantly. "Why I do believe you are correct, Professor. I simply can't be trusted to be left alone too long." He nodded when she agreed with his suggestion about lunch and looked around. "Animal-shaped?" he repeated. "What sort of charm do they use to shape the chicken? Do you know how they're made?" naively, he added, "And where do we go for food? Lead the way, please." Adriana's quasi-innocent expression didn't fool Regulus for a second. "You'd better watch out, or Katie and I are going to have to get you for your mean talking," he threatened. "And although I'm generally inclined to let you off easy, I think our little witch might be pretty excited to have a chance to tickle her mum. Isn't that right?" he asked their daughter. Katie looked up at both of them with a huge smile and Regulus couldn't resist mirroring her toothy expression.
He rolled his eyes at her and said, "I never thought that, Adriana. What on earth do you hit with a hammer, though? Isn't that rather a bit...primitive?" He hesitated to ask that, thinking that perhaps his snobbish pureblooded upbringing would sound too loudly in his tone, but he couldn't resist. Images in his mind of muggles running about with giant metal lumps on sticks and beating things with them immediately distracted him from the zoo. Did people go to watch this like quidditch, he wondered? And if so, could they go and see a muggle hammer display?
Regulus was slightly surprised that Adriana kissed him, but accepted the apology and followed his two favorite witches further into the zoo. Katie talked insistently about going to see "doggies", which looked rather more like wolves to Regulus. He was reminded distantly of Great-Uncle Arcturus's house and the foreboding wolf statues that guarded the foyer, their muzzles frozen in permanent snarls. Specifically he was reminded of the time that Sirius had told him Great-Uncle Arcturus put a charm on the statues so that they would bite any naughty children who entered the house, and then Regulus had been too scared to go anywhere in the mansion by himself for fear of being mauled by huge marble wolves. Regulus frowned at the captive canines and hoped that Katie would want to move on quickly.

Adriana couldn't help but giggle at his relief, "Of course love. I dont think I would survive. We just need to remind the little witch that we mustn't rely on magic for everything, other wise she'll be like the little Malfoy brat." Bitting her lip while trying to look as innocent as possible, she glanced at Katie. "Well, I do recall that I wasn't the only one who had snarky wit or a fondness for trouble. I think she can get it from either side here, but undoubtedly she will be keeping everyone on their toes." Adriana couldn't help but agree with Regulus, she did bake often a hobby she used to partake often with her mother, it was a great way to pass on tradition; not to mention the treats were beyond sinful. "I think so too. I blame my mother, and her mother and so on, Its one of the few things us women would bond over when I wasn't mucking around with my brothers. I know my mother questioned if I was secretly a boy sometimes."
Grinning salaciously, she winked at Regulus while observing her surroundings. "Not at all Mr. Black, you have been a bad boy and need to learn a thing or two." As much as Adriana loved Regulus, some of the things his wizardly wrapped mind would say to explain muggle things were ridiculous as they were now. Unable to hold back, she laughed openly at the silly ness of a shaped chicken. "Im sorry love, they dont shape the chicken. They use the chicken as they would normally, but rather than leaving strips they take those strips and cut out shapes. A chicken is just a chicken unless we make it something else." Trying to regain some composure, she grabbed Regulus and Katie's hands "There's a kiosk up ahead that will have food and beverages. Adriana feigned a frightened expresion to amuse her daughter. “OH no, what shall I do? Katie and Daddy against me? You wouldn't do that to Mummy, would you Katie?” Even though Adriana already knew the answer to the question, Katie was undoubtedly a daddy's girl, there was no harm in trying. Giggling at Regulus, "Of course its primitive, but its also very effective for muggles. You can hammer just about anything into place, more commonly nails to build or for support." Adriana knew she had a hammer somewhere in the flat, she would have to find it and demonstrate its use.
Things were definitely still left unresolved but Adriana was happy that Regulus had somewhat accepted a peace offering.Katie remained oblivious to what was occurring, but happily leading the way to the wolves. If anything Katie most certainly inherited her determination, she was walking like a little witch on a mission.
