Adriana stretched happily as she stepped out of the car; the hour drive it took from their flat to the London Zoo was a long and exhausting one. Stepping to the back she reached for her daughter who was happily munching on a graham cracker and undid the car seat buckles. Carrying her to the back of the car, she saw Regulus already waiting with the buggy ready for action. Placing Katie in her seat, Adriana adjusted the belt and the roof so that Katie was comfortable; and set off for an interesting family trip to the Zoo.
After paying the entrance fees, Adriana led the buggy into the main entrance closely followed by Regulus. Looking at a map, she wondered which direction to head off in first. “Let’s see the African Savanna area first.” She said leading the buggy to the African themed area. Reaching the first of the animals she noticed it was a lion. Grinning she picked Katie up so she could have a better look. Katie in hand, she pointed over to the sleeping lion that was surrounded by two lionesses, “See Katie, those are the animals of Godric’s house, the best house there ever was.” She said with a smile as Katie giggled and pointed to the lions. ‘Pretty kitty mummy’ Katie squealed.
Katie squirmed around trying to get a good look at her daddy, with an excited grin she yelled at her dad. ‘Look at the kitties’ daddie’. Adriana was beside herself with giggles, only a daughter of hers would call the lions pretty kitties, she knew she was going to hear it from Regulus some time soon about her influencing Katie.

Regulus followed closely behind Adriana as they entered the "zoo". As he'd understood her explanation at the flat, it was a park that muggles made filled with cages so that people could see dangerous animals. A wizard zoo would be much more interesting, he'd complained. Muggle animals don't do anything unusual...they just sit on their butts and eat, sleep, and poop all day. Sort of like Katie sometimes, he'd joked, looking fondly over at their daughter. Adriana hadn't found it funny, though. They should put you in a zoo, with a sign that says 'First Class Spoiled Sod' in front of you, she'd retorted. We're going, get in the car, I'll drive.
He stopped when she took Katie over to see the lions. Glaring at his girlfriend, Regulus tried not to make too much of a scene when Adriana started coaching their impressionable daughter on Gryffindor pride. "You're going to pay for that later, wench," he said quietly, so as not to alarm Katie or any of the passerby. Their baby squealed happily at the lions, turning around and saying, "Look at the kitties, daddy!" to him. Regulus smiled at her enthusiasm more than what her enthusiasm was for. "Yes, baby, but look at the kitty's teeth. See how big he is?" He crouched down next to Katie, pointing. "Look, listen to that one. Know what those kitties do to little girls?" Regulus's voice rose in a dramatic crescendo, "They sniff out the bad ones and eat them!"
Katie squealed and turned back towards him. Regulus hugged her, laughing. "Honey, daddy's not going to let you get eaten. And you're a good girl, aren't you? Don't be scared--just be careful. Those aren't kitties like Mrs. Finch's across the hall."

Glaring at Regulus as he purposely scared Katie with the talk of the lions eating bad little girls, she snorted as he daughter found comfort in him. “Yes real mature Regs, get even with me about the house pride by scaring the crap out of your daughter.” She mumbled with a roll of her eyes. Grinning at her daughter she gave Regulus a smirk before crouching down with them. “Honey so long as you’re a good girl, those kitties will always be your friends.” She said pointedly making a reference to her former house. Not that she truly cared what house Katie was placed into, she wasn’t intending to disown her or anything for making Hufflepuff or something of the sort.
Standing up she looked over to the continuing African savanna. Pushing the Katie-less buggy future into the zoo, she stopped at the next area closely followed by Regs and Katie. It was a large lake like body that had many little ears poking out, occasionally a spray of water would occur. Seeing one of the animals, walk out of the water and wade in close distance, she pointed out the animal to Katie. “Do you see the animal Katie? That big fat blob.” She said trying to get her daughters attention. “Those are called Hippos. They only live near the water in Africa.” She said hoping that her daughter would vaguely be able to pronounce the word Hippo. Remembering that this was Regulus’s first time to a muggle attraction like the zoo, she thought that this was going to be an eventful and educational outing for both her boyfriend and daughter.

"I didn't scare the crap out of her," Regulus argued, frowning. "And I wasn't getting even, honestly." Winking at his girlfriend, Regulus sighed. "Mummy thinks that the kitties are nice, Katie. But you should listen to your daddy and stay away from them. Remember when Mrs. Finch's kitty bit you? Kitties are nice to look at sometimes, but they can be mean. Daddy doesn't want you to get hurt," he kissed the top of Katie's head. She nodded up at him, then wandered away from the exhibit and back towards her stroller, grabbing a juice box from the bottom and sucking at it. Her wide eyes turned towards the lions, confused by her parents' conflicting statements. "Why don't we leave Africa?" Regulus suggested teasingly to Adriana. "I'll bet the reptile exhibit is around here somewhere. Probably close by."
Getting lead to a large murky pond instead, Regulus frowned as he listened carefully to Adriana's explanation for their daughter. "Hippos?" he repeated quietly, frowning at the shapes in the disgusting water. "Like Hippogriffs?" he asked innocently, confused. He'd never seen a hippogriff in the water before...and he was pretty sure they were very dangerous magical creatures...but the muggles could surprise him yet. Watching a crowd of onlookers ooh and ahh as the hippo sprayed green water towards them, Regulus stopped walking a good distance away, making sure Adriana and Katie stopped as well. Even if it wasn't dangerous at all...that water did not look like something that would smell good, and he didn't want to get it on himself, or let the girls get coated in it...or else he'd have to deal with the scent all day.

Rolling her eyes at him, she shook her head. "Yes, yes and now your even." She said trying to keep from smiling. "Of course, but that woman’s cats are evil, trained them to attack she has." She said remembering the time one of them decided to bite her ankle. Grinning as he kissed Katie’s head she mentally scolded herself for forgetting the camera. "Because we have to do all the exhibits, if not it defeats the purpose of coming “She reasoned with him. "The reptile exhibit though is one we could skip." She teased him.
Grinning she nodded as he questioningly asked the name. "Yes Hippos" she repeated trying to keep her laughter at bay "Not like Hippogriffs, in any way shape or form. They are called Hippopotamus but hippo for short." she asked corrected him. “They are like a very fat violent horse that lives in water.” She said trying to find another way of describing the animal without confusing him even more. Wrinkling her nose as he made sure they kept their distance, she shook her head. “Regs honestly, if you don’t get up close to see there is no point, they are in their space and we are in ours, they aren’t magical creatures so we are perfectly safe.” She tried to reason with him, hoping that poor Katie would be able to get some fun out of the whole experience.

Smirking, Regulus nodded. "See? I told you so...kitties aren't nice animals," he teased, laughing at Adriana's admittance of her cat-acquired injury. He saw her grin when he looked up after kissing Katie. "Camera's in the car, Adriana," he said quietly. "You have that look on your face again." When she said they'd skip the reptile house, Regulus stuck out his bottom lip and looked sullenly at her. "Adriana...you know that's my favorite. I let you tell Katie about your bloody lions. You're going to have to deal with the snakes."
Regulus eyed the hippo pond warily. "A fat violent horse?" he repeated, skepticism clear in his tone. "Why on earth would muggles want to see something like that? Why are they so excited?" He eyed an exhibit sign, which gave several facts about the animal living in the water and had provided a cartoon rendition of the 'hippopotamus'. The lilac, smiling little bubbly creature was definitely not the demon sulking just beneath the brown, mercurial water. "We're going to stay here," Regulus said reasonably. "So that Katie doesn't get soaking wet with hippopotamus water. Once it stops splashing around and coating the muggles in slime, we can see it." That wasn't anything too unreasonable...just keep the baby out of the diseased pond. Understandable enough, right?

Rolling her eyes she crossed her arms over her chest. "Not all kitties are evil, just that bloody woman’s lot." She said with whine. Grinning sheepishly with a blush she looked around to see if any muggles were watching them. Leaning into the buggy under more privacy she uttered an incantation transfiguring one of Katie’s toys into their camera. Pulling out of the buggy smiling, she snapped a picture of the pair. "Nope, Camera is right here" she said brightly. "What look?" She said with a childish voice and a pout. Shivering at the thought of being surrounded by so many snakes she shook her head. "Fine but the only reason I’m going is to make sure you don’t brainwash her and let her get eaten by one of them things." She said reluctantly. “And you have to wait till we see everything before jumping to the Reptiles exhibit.”
Adriana couldn’t help but laugh as he repeated her not so accurate and intellectual description. "Well because you can only find them in the African wild, not many people want to see them that badly. Also some of the animals here are endangered so they are the last of their kind, here for protection and what not." Rolling her eyes at her boyfriend she stood still waiting for him to deem it ok, even though she thought it was a bit ridiculous. ‘Compromise, for Katie’s sake’ she reminded herself calmly. "Fine." She muttered figuring this was how most exhibits were going to be.

Regulus shook his head. "Think about the lady on the floor below us. And the old man on the fifth floor with that tawny little bugger. None of them are good, and you know it. Just because Finch's are the only ones that bite...think of Mrs. Norris," he said in an urgent whisper. "Walked straight out of hell on those legs, that cat. Nothing good can come from a species that produces a vindictive little thing like that." Regulus raised his eyebrows when Adriana leaned over the stroller, obviously doing a bit of transfiguration beneath her guise of rooting through the basket. Looking about at the muggles, he decided that if it was safe enough for Adriana, it was safe enough for him. He smiled when she snapped the picture. "The look that says you've forgotten seven years of magical training and what it means to be a witch," Regulus teased, nodding towards her newly acquired camera. "Funny, I could have sworn that was on the dashboard," he grinned. At her ultimatum, Regulus pouted even more. "Adriana," he whined, "we went and saw the bloody lions first." He narrowed his eyes. "You're not afraid of them, are you?" Looking thoughtfully at his girlfriend, Regulus tried to recall if she'd ever said anything specifically about snakes before.
Smiling in good nature as Adriana laughed at him, Regulus looked speculatively at the sign again. "Endangered? Like...giants?" he asked quietly. They hadn't been endangered a few years ago, the Dark Lord had seen to that... Regulus pushed the thoughts from his mind, focusing instead on his daughter and the strange animal before him. "Well, I've never heard of such a thing. But I'm not pushing for the edge of the pond. Even if this is the very last one in the whole wide world. Aren't there more than one of these...zoos? Are there very many endangered muggle animals?" Peering over at Adriana, he frowned. "You're not seriously fine, are you?" Regulus said, more as a statement than a question. "If you want to take her up there, go ahead...but I'm not doing the bath tonight," he said firmly.

Mimicking her daughter, Adriana wrinkled her nose as if he was waving a fowl vegetable in her face. "Again not all of them are bad, Think of a sphinx even a lions, They wouldn’t be Godric’s animal if they were evil." She said just as hushed “Besides Ms. Norris was trained by filch, I honestly think the bloody thing isn’t even a real cat” she said conspiratorially. "I happen to have had a tiger cub as a child, then it tried to bite my dads arse one time so I had to give it to the MoM but fluffy was the best thing to happen to me, my bestest friend." She said fondly remembering her childhood pet. He smiled when she snapped the picture. Putting her hands on her hips she stared at him with a raised eyebrow. "Well you want to see what else I haven’t forgotten, I do remember pretty well some hexes that would be pretty convincing” She said playfully. "Well then it’s a good thing you didn’t bet your life on it love, pity you would have died because of the camera" she grinned. Rolling her eyes, as she often found herself doing when talking to Regulus. "Regulus" she mimicked, "Because that was the bleeding first display, if you’d like ill take to the zoo keepers to re-arrange everything for you for our next visit." Letting her eyes widen a bit she shook her head, hoping he didn’t catch that. She’d never shown any type of fear towards anything in the entire time she’s known him, she wasn’t about to let some bloody snake change that. "No of course not, that’s ridiculous." She said in what she hoped was a convincing voice.
Nodding her head, she looked over at the sign Regulus was looking at. "Yes I suppose you can think of them like the giants" she said quietly. "Muggle animals are different; they are hunted a lot more frequently than our magical ones, for either food or fur even just a tusk. Muggles don’t view things the same, and they certainly don’t see the repercussions of their actions until it’s too late. Yes there are many, many other Zoos in the world but not all have the same animals, they go to where ever they can be best taken care of. There are a lot of endangered animals, too many if you ask me." Looking over into the pond she got lost in thought. "Yes that’s fine, I suppose we should get a move on and look at the other exhibits” Adriana said, fumbling through the map, looking at the exhibits left to see. "Let’s head to the next continent which is Antarctica," She said, taking her daughter in her arms, walking in the direction of the Polar Animals.

"Yes, well. snakes wouldn't be considered evil if Salazar hadn't picked them, would they?" Regulus muttered. "Truce? No teaching Katie that lions are better than badgers and ravens and snakes? Even though pretty much any animal is better than a badger..." he trailed off thoughtfully, considering the house of Helga and smirking slightly as he thought of Owa for the first time in years. Regulus wondered what she'd done with her life. "Filch is a squib," Regulus replied promptly. "So no, Mrs. Norris probably isn't a cat in the traditional sense. I'll bet that he had his mum or someone put some spells on her to draw her towards active magic. Must have driven her mad in a school of magic, though...probably why she's such an evil little bugger."
Regulus gaped at his girlfriend, surprised. "You...had a pet tiger? Why didn't you ever tell me?" he glanced at Katie. "You're not going to buy her something with claws, are you? Let's just get her something nice...like a pigmy puff." Regulus didn't add anything about his numerous childhood encounters with the animals of Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place. Doxie nests, ghouls on the upper floors...pixies in the pantry...on rainy days when they'd been trapped inside, he and Sirius were never quite sure what they would find. He considered that for a moment, the days he'd spent relying on his brother's wit and strength to keep him from dying due to doxie bites and such...shaking the thought from his mind with a physical shake of his head, Regulus remembered resolutely that he and Sirius were not on good terms. The fallout from the war hadn't done anything thus far to repair their tattered relationship of necessity, Adriana being the only thing that kept them in contact with each other.
He looked up and down the way at the happily strolling muggles, then back at the mother of his child. "Love, I don't want to alarm you, but doing hexes in the middle of a muggle zoo is probably a class one violation of the statute for secrecy. Now if we'd gotten rid of the statute and killed all the muggles like we meant to...then we could talk about hexes," he grinned. "I only swore, I didn't bet my life," Regulus said instantly. "And even if I had, who would have killed me? I'd like to see you try a convincing avada sometime. Doubt you'd give me a nosebleed. Horribly difficult curse, that one. Used to practice on rats in the dungeons."
"Yeah, you do that," he said sullenly. "Use your wenchy ways and get them to move the stupid things to the back somewhere. Or what about behind the reptile house? No one comes here for the lions anyway." Regulus eyed the hippopotamus display meaningfully. "Not when there are other things to be seen." He heard something odd in Adriana's voice when she instantly denied being afraid of snakes. Looking over just in time to see her eyes widen, Regulus narrowed his accordingly. "You're a horrible liar," he said flatly. "You're afraid of snakes, aren't you?" Something like glee began to well up in the back of his mind at the idea of finally knowing of at least one thing that frightened his nutter of a girlfriend. Even if she denied it again, Regulus would still know the truth. "Not like a little snake is even going to hurt you...specially when I'm around. For all you know, I could speak parseltongue."
Listening to Adriana's speech and then seeing her trail off in thought, Regulus gave her a moment before he continued with his painfully ignorant questions. "So different zoos have different animals?" he asked, making sure he'd understood her. "Muggles just...kill them?" Regulus frowned. "Even magical creatures have a branch of the ministry to protect them. Muggles don't have anything like that in their Ministry?" Regulus said slowly, "The Ministry...of...Muggles? Department for the...Preservation of...Animals?" He pushed the stroller after Adriana, towards the polar animals. Looking about, not nearly as concerned about muggles seeing as she was, he summoned the camera under his breath. It only took a second to snap a picture of Adriana walking along with Katie in her arms. Said child turned her head onto her mother's shoulder and looked out at all the people passing by with mild curiosity, her hand curling on Adriana's arm. Moments like these made Regulus almost forget that he'd ever been on the run, that he'd ever pledged his life to one of the most powerful wizards in recent history, that he'd ever risked his life stealing a locket from amidst a lake of inferi...he could almost imagine that his life had always been as peaceful and filled with blessings as it was now.

"Snakes have always been considered evil, especially for muggles." Adriana countered. "Fine” she muttered “No teaching Katie the obvious..." She said begrudgingly but to avoid any argument over something as silly as which animal was better. Raising an eyebrow promptly as he announced Filch was a squib. "And when did you find out about Filch’s Squibyness, though it does make perfect sense but I didn’t know that." She said thoughtfully. "She probably isn’t even a real cat, maybe just an illusion to torment everyone at Hogwarts when Filch is occupied."
Grinning sheepishly as he gaped at her having a pet tiger. "Oh...I thought you knew." She said bashfully. "A nice puppy maybe, I don’t think a tiger cub would fit in our flat, but definitely no Pygmies remember we live with muggles." As much as Adriana wanted a magical pet, it would be impossible not only due to their muggle neighbors but their space was limited. Ideally she would get a cub just like she had when she was a little girl but Regulus would probably hitch a fit and bring home snakes as well. ‘A nice black lab would work just as wonderfully in the flat.’ She mused to herself.
Rolling her eyes she grinned at her boyfriend. "How about we get rid of you, that way we don’t have to get rid of the statue, we don’t need hexes and we don’t alarm the muggles" she teased. "Potato tomato love." Adriana reasoned. "Oi we aren’t going to be practicing any Unforgivables any time soon, whether you think I could only give you a nose bleed or not." She said firmly. “I don’t need to Avada you in order to kill you love, a simple poison would work just as well.” She said mischievously, teasing him when both she and he knew she wouldn’t even try said poison or unforgivable.
"Maybe I will" she said with a pout resembling Katie when she was forced to eat her veggies. "I come for the lions." Following his line of vision she shrugged. "I guess when it’s your first time, but after a while you develop favorites." Adriana swallowed mentally scolding herself to be impassive; she blamed her bloody prats of brothers for this. "Am not." she said "Negative" she said flatly as her mind drifted back to when she was 5. Her brothers though it amusing for put in several live snakes in her bed while she slept and lock her in her room. Little did they know they managed to pick the aggressive bunch. Shaking her head she tried to shake the feeling of being bit over again, being wrapped around by snake squeezing the breath out of you. Her parents had been so upset they had gotten her the tiger cub as a her friend and body guard shortly after.
Nodding she smiled at her boyfriends curiosity. "Yes, generally they have the same, but when it comes to exotic type animals they vary." Frowning she nodded again. "Yes, sickening really. The muggle ministry is different, each country has their own government, and it’s not always called the ministry." Adriana said slowly, "There are organizations that do their best to try and protect the animals but without cooperation from the government rather pointless their efforts have become." Turning her head as she heard the sound of a camera click, she smiled at her boyfriend. Stopping at his side, she kissed him lightly thinking about how nice a their family outing was fairing out.

"...that snakes are better than silly lions," Regulus finished her open-ended statement with a grin, trying now just to annoy her. He was thoughtful for a moment, then replied, "I've known that Filch was a squib for a long time. Big wizarding world scandal, long time ago...I think my mum invited his family to Christmas parties a few years in a row, just to gloat that Sirius and I had both turned out magical. Of course, they probably got removed from the guest list for one reason or another..." He laughed at her speculations about Mrs. Norris. "Yes, a very well-done illusion, love," Regulus agreed instantly.
"A dog?" Regulus repeated incredulously. "No pygmy puffs? Why not? The neighbors would never see us bring it in...they'd think it was furniture. And if they did ask questions, you can tell them that we're from outer space, like that show on the telly. Then no one will bother us with the statute of secrecy, at least...doesn't say a thing about aliens." Personally he wouldn't mind having something interesting...like a small dragon. But if he ever voiced such a dream, Adriana would immediately pounce on her desire to keep a tiger as a pet...and he probably wouldn't be able to deny her.
He pouted. "Why do we only need hexes if I'm around?" Regulus whined. Smiling at her instant decision about the unforgivables, Regulus said, "Good. I wouldn't want to visit you in Azkaban, love. Not that I wouldn't, of course. And we both know that you're as bad a hand at potions as I am...though you cook much better than I do, so I suppose if you weren't brewing the potion...talk about a way to tip off the neighbors, though."
He smiled and took her hand in his when she pouted, strongly resembling their daughter on a bad day. "Of course you do," he said easily. "And I'm here to see the snakes. So let's get walking...maybe they're just beyond the hippo. Then we won't have to go very far at all...we can call it a day and go home once we've seen them." Listening to her too-short, too-insecure denials about her fear of snakes, Regulus grinned all the wider. "You are afraid of snakes, and you've never told me. Why are you afraid of them? Just the way they wiggle, or their hissing?" he guessed, not trying to frighten her, but just understand why.
Regulus brightened. "So if we go to a different zoo we'll see different animals? Let's go next weekend, then!" he suggested. "Called something other than the ministry? That's odd...but then again, a lot of the things muggles do are odd." He smiled when Adriana kissed him, dropping the camera back into the stroller and following her and Katie towards the arctic display. Even if they were having their usual bickering, at least they were having a good time out with their baby.

"...maybe in Regulus Black’s alternate reality of course," She said smartly to his attempts poke at her. Grinning as she heard the story about filch she nodded understandingly. "Well at least now I know why he’s such a foul git, so sad that he cant even do accidental magic. Figures your mum would gloat about her two baby boys..." she said teasingly. "Ickle Reggikins and Siripoo are magical little boys, I bet she was so proud " She said with a laugh.
"Yes a dog" Said Adriana exasperated, he drove her mad sometimes with requests for normalcy but when she acts normal he was something else. "No pygmy puffs because they are annoying balls of pink fur, your daughter would probably use it to throw at you. And I rather not have to rely on saying we are aliens thank you." She said envisioning her daughter with said ball of fur, flinging it all over the house and its occupants.
Grinning mischievously she poked his stomach. "To make sure you keep in line mister." She giggled. Rolling her eyes at him, "Love you wouldn’t be visiting me if I went to Azkaban, as I would probably go for doing something to you. I can always buy the poison, its much easier especially if I go to knocturn alley. Something virtually undetectable sounds like the right way to go." She teased.
Grinning at him she shook her head. "Yes but not if your in the same area, we’d probably need to go to another country or something to see variety" she tried to explain. "Of course muggles are odd, they just don’t give them names sometimes, like in America." (Sorry if I lost you, but this was the last paragraph and I moved it so it made sense, and not an emotional rollercoaster type thing)
Squeezing his hand lightly as he slipped it between hers, she grinned. "Sorry love, it’s the last exhibit. Beyond the Hippos are the polar animals." Narrowing her eyes she stopped dead in her tracks and glared at him. "That is not funny at all Regulus Black." She said quietly with her voice faltering. “My bloody prats of brothers thought it would be amusing to put snakes in my bed and lock me in my room. Merlin knows what they did to the bloody snakes but some bit me and would let go, the other was a boa that thought I may make a wonderful meal. It wrapped itself around me, squeezing until I was ready to swallow. If it wasn’t that the sodding bites hurt so much I wouldn’t have a had a chance to scream and alert my parent who had to blast the bloody door down to get to me. I spent a week in St. Mungos and still have the bloody snake bite scars.” She said holding back tears trying to forget the awful memory.

Regulus grinned. "Yeah, exactly, in my alternate reality. Lucky you spend so much time there with me, wench. You and the other people I like. Few in number, really. You should feel honored." He laughed as she started attempting to tease him about his mother's treatment. "You can't use those names," Regulus said with a smile. "Mum was just happy to see that we'd managed to retain the magical bloodline even though she and dad are first cousins," he remarked conspiratorially. A moment later, he added honestly, "I'm glad we got Katie out of there." He laughed at Adriana's reasoning. "Like I'd be upset if she threw a little pygmy puff at me," he chuckled. "And why not say we're aliens? It'll keep the Ministry off of us forever." He'd never actually tell the neighbors that, but...it would be a good way to slip below the magical radar. If they all thought they were aliens, then they'd never have any reason to suspect that they were really a witch and wizard raising their witch-to-be daughter away from the clutches of his maniacal magical family. Regulus yelped and jerked away from her fingers when she poked at him. Glaring, he said, "In line. Right. Like I'm the one who needs to be kept in line." He smirked when she started in on Azkaban. "Or I'd be there with you...you know, after I'd gotten you back. Though you are up one cruciatus on me," he said, finishing on a more serious tone than the rest of his thoughtfully joking statement. "The day you set foot in Knockturn, I'll know about it instantly. Still have contacts, you know. Eyes and ears...old allies. Won't take much to convince them that my old alliances never changed. They like to believe that what they want to believe is the truth." Regulus blinked at her. "Oh. Weird," he said. "Want to pop over to America next weekend to see if their animals are different, love?" he asked with a grin. ((OOC: Of course you didn't lose me. )) He sighed. "Alright, to the polar animals then. Don't come crying to me when we find out that the reptile house was the best thing here by far, and we could have saved a few hours just by going there first like I said." Regulus was surprised at Adriana's suddenly strong reaction to his teasing. "I didn't mean for it to be funny," he said quietly, concerned. "Your brothers..." Regulus stopped walking towards the next exhibit, so surprised at the memory that Adriana shared. "Why didn't you tell me about this before? We don't even have to go near the reptile house if you're so upset..." He pulled her hand, turning her towards him. "I'll never let anything hurt you like that ever again, if I can help it," Regulus promised her. "And I can murder your brothers for you, if you ask me to," he added on a more teasing note, hoping to lighten her mood.

Rolling her eyes at Regulus, Adriana laughed at his logic. "I think you spend too much time in your alternate reality, its affecting the way you think.” She teased. “You need to feel honored that I am spending time with you period, alternate reality or not.” She joked. "I can call you what ever I want." Adriana said childishly with a smile. "I could careless about the being magical part, I would have been concerned if you would have ended up with a birth defect or some metal retardation." she said mildly amused at his mother’s logic. Nodding enthusiastically she agreed, "So am I love, so am I."
Laughing along with Regulus she smiled looking at him skeptically. "You say that now, but being that we both played Quidditch she is likely to have good aim. We she begins to hit you repeatedly and in the face, you’ll be singing a different tune." Sighing exaggeratedly, she shook her head "The ministry of Magic maybe, but the muggle ministry would be on us like nifflers looking for gold." She said remembering the many times she had heard of people being taken as government property for being magical or supposed aliens. Kept away for study and later dissection, she was no going to subject anyone much less her family to something like that.
Grinning as he glared at her, she poked him again "Yep. Right. We all know that if it wasn’t for me keeping you in line you’d be off doing Merlin knows what with Merlin knows who. I keep you the good little wizard your mother hoped for minus the whole dark arts things." She said somewhat rambling to herself. "What ever you say love, maybe they would give us a joint cell, maybe with some curtains for privacy." she said, purposely ignoring the mention of the Cruciatus curse and their history with it. "Well, ok maybe not Knocturn alley, I nick something from the muggles then."
Grinning at his suggestion she nodded. "That sounds lovely. I’m sure Katie would enjoy it. We could even see some of the site over there too." she said excitedly
She shrugged not wanting to continue a rather pointless argument. "Keep thinking that love."
"My brothers are prats, well were I don’t know I was closer to yours than I was to mine." Shrugging when he asked why she never mentioned it. "There was never really a time to bring it up, besides I try to forget horrible memories not share them with the world.” She said more snappishly than she intended. “So long as they stay in their space, far from me I don’t mind going to the reptile house." Letting herself be pulled towards him, she rearranged Katie, balancing her on her hip so she could hug her boyfriend. "That’s fine with me love" She said knowing that his promise meant a lot but wouldn’t be full proof as she wasn’t always going to be at Regulus’s side. "No because then id have angry sister in-laws to deal with. Besides that was when I got my tiger cub so they couldn’t mess with me like that anymore. I do believe a few of them have their very own bite marks." She said grinning fondly remembering her loyal friend and protector.
