Dress, Whining and Humiliation. (Remus/Regulus)

"Mother!" The cry amitted so loudly from the robe shop that all of Diagon Alley turned. Inside Madame Malkin's Robes For All Occasisions, Mary was attempting to try on a some very pretty dress robes. In a quieter voice she shrilly turned to her mother. "I'm 21 mother! I think I can try on dresses withOUT you." She hurriedly lossened the corset on the dress.
"But hunny, you need me here. You'll look precious!" Her mother smiled. She looked so weird in her lizard skin skirt and her bleach white blazer. On top of that were her black witch heels and her bright red purse.
"Does it have to be white? People are gonna think it's my wedding." Mary whined. She looked around and saw some people around. "Can we PLEASE go now?"
"No," Mary's mother said sharply. "But I am going to go find you some shoes." She turned to Madam Malkin. "Do NOT let her leave." She growled and left. Mary blew a strand of hair from her face.
"You know you love your mum when..."

[Regulus Black]

Regulus very reluctantly entered Madame Malkin's Robes for All Occasions, dreading the conversation that was to come. Growing up in the Black house like he had, he'd been subjected to every style and fashion of dress robe imaginable at one point or another in his life. Pricing out dress robes for the male half of the wedding wasn't going to be difficult...telling Madame Malkin that he didn't want to purchase them right now would be. He and Adriana were still discussing the possibility of having a muggle theme...this errand was just one factor of many that would help them decide.

Entering the store, however, he was surprised to see another adult there. Usually, Hogwarts kids would be crying and complaining as they were fitted for school robes. But here was a girl he'd seen before...in his year? In his brother's? Regulus couldn't remember. She appeared to be arguing with her mother.

When the mother stormed off and left the girl in Madame Malkin's control, she turned and muttered something that Regulus thought sounded rather hostile. And that was when he was noticed...by the patron of the store.

"Oh, Regulus Black," she murmured, voice flighty and appearance frazzled. "How may I help you?"

He looked at her awkwardly. "Well...dress robes...prices? Wedding," he explained.

Mary turned slightly and saw Regulus. She knew him, she was in his year at Hogwarts. Memories flew and Mary stumbled. This was the guy she had had a HUGE crush on in school? The small stool fell out from underneath her and Mary fell on the floor, careful to use a table top position as she had used so often before so the pins wouldn't peirce her skin. "Again," she muttered, "I HATE dresses."
"Miss Macdonald! Are you alright?" Madame Malkin's voice reached her ringing ears.
"Yes, I'm fine." Mary tried to say in the most polite way possible. She got up and faced Regulus, smoothing out new wrinkles and creases. "Regulus Black. Fancy seeing you here." She smiled.
